Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 (Women’s RWC 2025) will be the 10th edition of the women's tournament. World Rugby, in partnership with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and UK Sport, have formed a Local Operating Company to plan and deliver the event.
Ambitions for the tournament are at an all-time high as women’s rugby is one of the fastest growing team sports in the world. Women’s RWC 2025 will be the ultimate stage for the best players, teams and coaches from 16 nations across the globe and is set to be the biggest and most widely watched women's rugby event ever. The Women’s RWC 2025 LOC is looking to appoint a Transport Coordinator that will support in the planning, implementation and delivery of venue transport operations. The planning and delivery of these operational services will be supported by the use of a bespoke and dedicated World Rugby TMS platform (Tournament Management System).
Reporting to the Transport Manager there will be a close working relationship with the operations teams and client groups within the LOC and World Rugby EventsCo.
What you’ll be doing:
· Work with the venues and city planning team to develop the transport plans and procedures to be implemented at our host cities and venues, supporting on the development of Venue Transport Operating Plans (VTOP) including parking and access plans
· Ownership of venue transport operations at a dedicated venue during the tournament
· Support in the development and delivery of venue parking and access approach
· Work closely with providers to support the development of transport and fleet plans, policies and procedures
· Ensure implementation of all transport service levels according to agreed standards
· Support in the coordination of fleet services across host cities
· Understanding of key client group movements and timings including teams, match officials and VIP guests
· Work closely with key LOC and EventsCo staff, and the leads in other key FAs to ensure integrated planning and delivery.
· Develop and maintain positive relationships with venue operators, team management / liaisons, partners and stakeholders.
· Apply procedures with regards to cost control and supplier management in line with project guidelines
Experience & knowledge you’ll need:
· Demonstrable experience working in major events or transport operations sectors, preferably within sport
· Experience of working closely with suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring that communal objectives are understood and achieved
· Experience in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple individuals across a varied portfolio of responsibilities.
· Track record in taking accountability for delivery against fixed timeframes and specific project deliverables.
Nice to Haves:
· Experience of supporting in the delivery of venue transport operations within a tournament/games setting
· Experience in fleet operations within an event context
· Previous experience of using fleet management software
