Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 (Women’s RWC 2025) will be the 10th edition of the women's tournament. World Rugby, in partnership with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and UK Sport, have formed a Local Operating Company to plan and deliver the event.

Women’s RWC 2025 LOC is looking to appoint a Logistics Coordinator to be a key member of the team that will support the planning, implementation, delivery, and all associated operations, policies and procedures of the Logistics (LOG) functional area for the Rugby World Cup. Reporting to the Logistics Manager there will be a close working relationship with the operations teams and client groups within the LOC and WREM.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the development of functional area operating plans (FAOP) to provide guidance and detail for Logistics.
- Support the development of warehousing requirements, including a Warehouse Management System and support the development of all the plans, policies and procedures for the operation of the warehousing in conjunction with the Freight Service Provider.
- Work closely with the Freight Service Provider to support the scope, schedule and management of International freight, domestic distribution and Tournament Time courier services including required planning and oversight systems necessary to support the Tournament.
- Support the planning and management of Logistics operations, including provision of Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) and shared resources such as Manual Handling Equipment (MHE) across the tournament, including the implementation of operating plans and processes for the efficient receipt, storage, distribution, ongoing supply, delivery, installation and recovery of assets across venues.
- Support the development and management of the Venue Delivery Schedule and develop with Security and Accreditation the required access protocols to deliver to match venues.
- Work closely with Team Services and government stakeholders to support the plan, schedule and execution of all international and domestic freight moves for participating Teams.
- Support the planning and delivery of arrivals and departures operations including engagement with ports of entry and exit to ensure a smooth arrivals and departures process for teams.
- Support the monitoring and management of tournament milestones, ensuring all elements are met on time and to the desired standard, with risks identified and mitigated against and budgets carefully managed throughout
- Work closely with key LOC and WREM staff, and the leads in other key FAs to ensure integrated planning and delivery.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with venue operators, team management / liaisons, partners and stakeholders.
- Support the recruitment and management of tournament time operational staff, contractors and volunteers. Support the delivery of the training and onboarding, including all arrangements for their tournament-time deployment.
- During tournament time, play a key role in supporting the identification and management of any issues and queries, supporting staff on the ground or from the Tournament Services Coordination Centre, depending on the tournament time requirements and supporting the collation of data and reports, escalating issues as needed.
Experience & knowledge you’ll need:
- Experience in holding a logistics role within a sporting event landscape or other relevant sector where skills can be transferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple individuals across a varied portfolio of responsibilities.
- Track record in taking accountability for delivery against fixed timeframes and specific project deliverables.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with a superior attention to detail;
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience in a logistics role for a major international multi or single-sporting event.
- Experience of Domestic and/or International Freight Movements.
- Experience of working with Warehousing Systems.
