In short

As our new Lead of Technical Representatives you will lead, coach and further develop a Team of currently 6 Full Time Technical Representatives, in addition to a third party. Your team is responsible for product trainings, On's participation in sell-out events as well as B2B marketing events to not only ensure successful sell-outs but to strengthen the relationships between our external partners and On. Your role allows you to have a direct impact on On's success by the way you are leading your team and how you define their way of working. In this role it is important that you stay close to your team as well as to the retail. Thus, regular travel is required, around 20-30% of your time.

Your Mission

  • Lead, guide and coach the Japan Technical Representative Team (6 people)
  • Manage and educate our third party wholesale support agency
  • Define the direction for Tech Reps, seasonal focus areas, aligning with key stakeholders on the sales and marketing teams
  • Drive the current vision for the tech rep program as well as bring fresh, new ideas to improve the program
  • Be responsible of planning your teams' operations (schedule), such as dealer visits, store visits or participation in events
  • Constantly train and further develop your team on products, communications as well as other needed job skills
  • Evaluate and optimize the way your team currently operates (processes, systems, tools, communications, meetings, etc.)
  • Personally, develop each tech rep to be better at their current position as well as prepare them for their next position

Your story

  • Retail sales experience of 3-5 years in the sporting goods industry or related fields such as lifestyle, fashion, etc.
  • An ability to manage many projects and people all at the same time
  • Initiative and ability to think fast and strong interpersonal/communication skills that support the process of building collaborative teams
  • 2+ years experience in leading a team successfully. We are looking for someone that is able to empathetically lead a young team and understands themself as a career enabler
  • You are at ease when communicating, presenting or pitching to others
  • A strong character with a future oriented working manner in a fast paced environment
  • Conversational level in English is a must to collaborate with regional and global Tech Reps

Bring any questions you have about the job, the team or anything else you might like to know – this is an open forum.

  • Step Four

    The Case Study

    What's your style? This task will help us understand how you think, face a challenge and give insight into your novel ideas. Designed to give everyone their best shot, your case study is based on something you might typically experience on the job. This is your chance to show us what you’ve got. So express yourself. Be you.

  • Step Five

    The Experience Day

    Your first taste of the Oniverse. This is a time to meet some of the people you'll be working closest with. In person or virtually, you'll get a feel for the day-to-day at On and the people who make it happen. You'll chat with a few potential teammates - the conversations will be as equally driven by the role and your experience as by our values. We believe how you do things is just as important as what you do.

  • Step Six

    The Result

    Are we a good fit? We’ll get together internally to share our feedback and decide if we’re a match. We know that job searching is a big time investment, so it’s not a decision we take lightly.
