Senior Stadium Liaison Manager

Fixed Term Contract starting September 2025 until July 2028

As one of the world's largest and highest-profile sporting events, UEFA EURO 2028 will attract the attention of the sporting and major event communities, the media, and the public at large across the UK& Ireland, Europe and the World. With its unique hosting model, the event promises to spread the impacts and benefits of the tournament across the nations and communities of the UK and Ireland.

The Role
Working closely with the Head of Stadium Liaison, the Senior Stadium Liaison Manager will lead on agreed areas of planning and delivery for allocated UK&I 2028 stadiums in line with the UEFA EURO 2028 Tournament requirements, whilst ensuring that they are implemented both operationally and cost effectively for the tournament.

The role holder will be the primary point of contact across allocated UK&I 2028 stadiums, all agreed stadium delivery elements for the UEFA Venue Management team, UK&I 2028, and all associated local stakeholders

You will manage the delivery of all agreed stadium activities including leading stadium working groups for dissemination of information to all involved stakeholders and lead and manage UK&I stadium liaison delivery teams at allocated stadiums, appointed by UK&I 2028 and/or via UEFA’s delegated services.

You will need to participate in stadium working visit cycles, leading on all UK&I 2028 deliverables.

Working visits are scheduled every 6-9 months and involve extended periods of travel, approximately one week at each stadium (a maximum of 9 stadiums)

What will you be doing?

• Establish and maintain the relationship between UEFA, UK&I 2028, and allocated clubs and stadiums (ensuring these relationships are maintained positively beyond the Tournament)
• To be the central point of contact for UEFA in order to deliver an efficient and coordinated approach to enable the smooth delivery of the agreed UK&I 2028 areas of stadium planning in line with the Tournament Requirements
• Establishing and maintaining the relationship between local stakeholders including police, mobility partners, city authorities and host city leads
• Stakeholder integration and escalation across operational planning, supporting both UEFA Venue management and the stadium teams
• Provide experience and associated qualifications relating to the stadium operation, local legislation and working practices
• Management of UK&I Government Partners funding contributions, including temporary overlay, the provision of land rental and outer security perimeters
• Stadium Agreement contract management, including budget management within the agreed Stadium Fee
• Establish and lead an internal working group for all allocated stadiums, responsible for the planning, preparation and delivery of the stadium
• Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet the changing priorities.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.

What are we looking for?

• Self-starting venue/project manager capable of leading areas of an event delivery team
• Problem-solver - ability to use own initiative and find new solutions and working methods to enable the smooth event delivery
• Highly motivated and passionate with experience of managing sporting events
• Strong knowledge of large-scale stadia and working alongside associated delivery stakeholders
• Experience managing the planning & delivery of multiple sites
• Excellent communicator capable of both establishing and building working groups including wide ranging and diverse stakeholders
• Strong negotiator capable of driving cost effective overlay solutions
• Strong leadership skills and management of both long term and short term employees
• Flexible approach to working hours

Where is the role based?
Our head office is based at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, however depending on your role you may be required to travel across the UK and Ireland to our 9 Stadiums and 8 Host Cities, with some roles being based in those locations.

As an event delivery organisation, it’s important that we have regular time together in the office and currently employees come together at least 2/3 days a week at HQ in Wembley, with the number of days in HQ increasing as the project develops with a minimum of 3-4 days needed in 2026-2027 and full time in the year of 2028.
