This role is part of the Sustainable Business & Impact team shaping the future of impact within our brand and business. This team leads and integrates our vision and initiatives across the company to create value for our brand, our collective (guests, employees, makers, ambassadors), society, and the environment. The result is an innovative, purpose-driven brand creating a future that we want to live in. As our Sr Impact Strategy Manager, you will report to the Senior Director, Strategy, Integration, and Reporting. The team is responsible for setting social and environmental enterprise goals and strategy, guiding integration of impact into the business, and reporting credibly and transparently. This individual will lead the development and governance of impact strategy at enterprise and functional levels to deliver on our public impact goals. The ideal candidate will have experience developing enterprise strategies; facilitating strategic conversations at senior levels; and helping drive the overall integration of impact strategy into the enterprise.

a day in the life: what you'll do

Strategy Development:

  • Develop and steward our multi-year enterprise impact strategy, including five-year and annual refresh process
  • Create enterprise multi-year roadmaps to meet our Impact goals in partnership with SMEs and leaders across the business.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies for significant enterprise-wide social and environmental initiatives in areas including, circularity, climate, and wellbeing
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to facilitate “sprints” to drive towards specific strategic decisions or outcomes within broader enterprise-wide impact initiatives
  • Provide interpretation and analysis to internal stakeholders on critical external developments and insights that affect strategy and its delivery

Impact Governance and Integration:

  • Work with the SVP, Sustainable, Business, and Impact, Sr. Director Impact Strategy and Reporting, and Director, SBI Operations and our cross-functional partners to create agenda, content, and presentations to SLT and Board-level impact governance committees
  • Provide strategic counsel to teams in support of other C-Suite level, Functional level, and Board level conversations outside of the primary impact governance committees
  • Continuously strive for improvement of enterprise impact governance processes by keeping abreast of “best in class” approaches, making the case for change internally, and supporting internal change management

Annual Strategic Planning:

  • Lead creation of annual and five-year impact strategy planning cycle, ensuring integration with the enterprise strategy

Qualifications

Academic / Educational:

  • Minimum Bachelors degree in a related field
  • Advance degree preferred: MBA or Environmental Sustainability Management, or related field

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years experience in corporate sustainability, corporate strategy, management consulting, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience working in large corporate settings; consumer goods/apparel/retail experience preferred
  • Experience in one or more areas of environmental sustainability: climate change, circularity, nature; knowledge of social and governance sustainability topics a plus
  • Ability to drive cross-functional stakeholder alignment internally in support of enterprise-wide outcomes
  • Experience working with senior leadership to prepare and present polished materials and facilitate strategic conversations
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence
  • Strategic thinker with capability to set priorities while knowing constraints
  • Analytical capabilities with high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Constructive, thoughtful and adaptable attitude, oriented towards client service

compensation and benefits package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $130,800 - $171,700 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

workplace arrangement

This role is classified as Hybrid under our SSC Workplace Policy:

  • In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed onsite at least 3 days per week.
