About this team

Quality is at the heart of who we are. The Supplier Development team's key objective is to ensure the highest quality in raw materials and garment manufacturing and production. This team leads, manages and proactively works with our global vendor base to ensure Lululemon quality standards are met. This team will implement, automate, streamline and enroll all staff members in a comprehensive quality control and process excellence initiative without compromising Lululemon's design flare and time to market.

The Supplier Development team works closely with business functions across the Global Product Integrity departments as well as the greater supply chain organizations and LLO's.

A day in the life:

  • Report and support to the Manager, Supplier Development FG
  • Trigger Facility Audit assessment, work closely with 3rd Party and vendors to support and ensure assessment Is scheduled, and vendors fully comply with all standards.
  • Identify and manage manufacturing process quality risk through assessing a supplier's ability to meet our expectations and close identified gaps
  • Review Facility Audits results and CAPA management follow-up to ensure Issues are resolved and ensure Facility Audit database Is up-to-date and accurate
  • Conduct manufacturing readiness technical evaluation,
  • Onboard and develop new suppliers through hyper care process, identify capability gaps and opportunities, and work with vendors to develop/mature production quality capabilities
  • Input vendor capability information to Sourcing to support strategic product placement
  • Take lead In coordinating and managing various Supplier Development projects & Initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in apparel manufacturing or textile or any related field
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Textile Science or Chemical Engineering or any related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of apparel testing or raw material testing Is a must;
  • Strong knowledge In Apparel and Softline Products Workmanship
  • Self-motivated, passionate, empathetic, approachable
  • Excel in communication, project management, and analysis with a love and passion for quality
  • Cross-functional partner with problem solving abilities
  • High attention to detail; proactive
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fluency in English and Mandarin is a must
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet-research / reporting / analysis tools
  • Ability to travel (10-20%)
