about this team

The North America Community team is responsible for the creation and execution of our community strategy, inclusive of relationship management, product seeding, activations, and campaign activity across the entire NA store fleet, campuses, and key cities. The broader team is comprised of the NA Events, NA Community, and NA Sports Marketing organizations who work in partnership with a myriad of cross functional partners to build meaningful local relationships, to engage our ambassadors and talent through relevant activations and to further lululemon's commitments with diversity and inclusion.

a day in the life: what you'll do

This role leads the coordination of community activations for our NA marketing campaigns, Campus, Key Accounts and brand partnerships. Decisions directly affect the larger Community strategy for how we story tell and engage communities around our brand, product, and partnerships. As we continue to move into a more collaborative and globally integrated model of working, this role will be crucial to ensure that Community continues to be an important marketing lever used to drive efficiency and effectiveness of our campaigns and partnerships.

  • Lead through collaboration with partners to establish NA Community objectives that localize major brand moments for lululemon through our Ambassadors, Local Community teams, Campus partners, Key Accounts and NA brand partnerships.
  • Responsible for full NA Community budget management
  • Develop community channel briefs and establish channel objectives to ensure local activations of brand, product, and partnerships moments are brand forward and locally relevant.
  • Represent and advocate for NA Community in NA Marketing channel reviews – influencing and guiding cross functional partners to action against our NA Community objectives and goals.
  • Bring community to life for NA brand partnerships such as Peloton, Lifetime Fitness, Campus, Key Accounts, with integration of the lululemon brand calendar and the brand calendars of our partners
  • Drive strategic decision making, in partnership with the Strategic Sales and Community Directors and Managers, to determine the relevant partners and markets to activate specific brand, product, and partnership moments while considering brand insights, resourcing, budget, and trends.
  • Coordinate hyperlocal concepts and activations that build brand awareness, increase brand consideration, and solidify brand loyalty, serving as air traffic control and a subject matter expert in Community for NA Channel partners.
  • Maintain an acute understanding and awareness of how to leverage Community to support brand initiatives, product imperatives, and partnerships.

qualifications

  • At least 6 years of experience in retail or other B2C business
  • B2C Brand marketing experience preferred.
  • Proven excellence in project management, brand or business operations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience developing and managing new programs within a broader business ecosystem preferred.
  • Experience with business reporting and analytics preferred.
  • Undergraduate Degree is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits Package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from  $130,800 – $171,700 CADannually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

workplace arrangement

This role is classified as Hybrid under our SSC Workplace Policy: In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed onsite at least 3 days per week.
