a day in the life: what you'll do
Provide guidance and support to product engineering teams for the development of high-quality and resilient software systems through the use of monitoring tools and practices. Serve as a core member of the Monitoring team in Site Reliability Engineering, guiding the digital organization to improve the practice of reliability. Own the management of monitoring tools and the best practices for using those tools to provide total visibility into our systems. Develop strategy and service offerings, use data to measure success and investment opportunities, and build a bench of technical experts and leaders. Identify service opportunities and roadblocks to success for your team and clearing those roadblocks. Partner closely with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to manage scope and strike a balance between support and investment work. Identify areas of strategic technical debt, do the cost/benefit analysis for resolving this debt and communicate suggested timelines for prioritizing this to management.
Telecommuting permitted 100% - may live anywhere in the U.S.
40 hrs./week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field plus 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in Information Technology.
Of the required experience, must have 8 years of software engineering experience in a development or operations environment.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience managing workloads for engineering teams, providing performance feedback to junior software engineers, and developing and managing strategies in a cross-functional environment.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in at least 3 of the following monitoring tools: Splunk, AppDynamics, New Relic, SignalFX, and Thousand Eyes.
Of the required experience must have 1 year of e-commerce experience.

compensation and benefits package
lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $182,312.00 – $202,312.00 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
