About this team

The Advanced Knits team works on always on innovation projects to deliver all gender solves across all performance categories. Working closely with sourcing, RM development & labs team to scout, validate, & develop new platforms in future yarns, construction technologies, science of feel insights, dye techniques, sustainability, and new machine capabilities. This team delivers the next generation of performance product to fuel our growth through groundbreaking innovation.

A day in the life:

- Designing performance knits product to deliver into our mandate to supporting our purpose and vision to deliver to our growth plans for performance, driven by continuous innovation and optimization.

- Create and validate innovation stories around our Science of Feel, coordinate research and validation with labs partners..

- Innovation in Feel, Function, and Aesthetic focused on Womens and partnership with accessories product team to deliver net new programs and expand into new categories.

- Reporting into the The Senior Design Director for Performance Knits, collaborates on providing and executing direction for evolutions and future platforms in engineered knit technologies.

- Supporting and mentoring junior design members.

Must haves:

- 10+ years experience in a Apparel Design with a focus Womens Performance. Previous experience in active performance wear is a must.

- Expertise in designing product that is highly considered in function and aesthetic execution, strong eye for fit and construction.

- Passion for working with raw material, technical development and validation teams to understand and action scientific insights and delivering ready to buy innovation into mainline team at seed stage.

- In depth knowledge and experience working with technical yarns and material technologies in seamless, warp knitting, and flat bed knitting.

- High level of proficiency in design tools: Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, MS Office, Miro, Basic to Intermediate 3D design skills in CLO and/or Browzwear.

Additional Notes

Authorization to work in Canada is required for this role.

Compensation and Benefits Package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $113,700– 156,500 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
