Job Description

As a Senior Data Systems Engineer, you will put a best-in-class systems administration process in place, during our data transformation project. The Senior Data Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of cloud-based applications and systems.

Expert in cloud technologies, system administration, and a relentless focus on ensuring the reliability and security of cloud environments. Reporting to the Senior Data Operations Manager, you will bepart of the Data Quality team, who are responsible for driving data-driven decision-making within the organization. What you will do: 

• Oversee the day-to-day administration of cloud-based applications and systems, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance
•  Implement and enforce robust security protocols for data within cloud environments, safeguarding against potential threats and breaches.
•  Collaborate closely with IT and security teams to address access and security concerns, fostering a unified approach towards maintaining data integrity. 
• Develop and maintain backup schedules and retention policies for various types of data and systems, ensuring data resilience and disaster recovery readiness.

Qualifications

Who you are:

•  Advanced knowledge of access management tools.
• Deep understanding of data security principles.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Expert understanding of cloud cost management tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud services and infrastructure management.
•  Advanced knowledge of different technologies – AWS, SQL, Snowflake.
