About this team


The Sample Room team is responsible for creating samples, mockups and performing alterations to support the design and development of lululemon product. The Sample Room team works in collaboration with Product and Brand partners to execute their requests and support the product creation process.

A day in the life


The prototyping team is responsible for innovating and creating patterns for samples and mockups to support the design and development of lululemon product.

• Develop complete patterns and cutter must (legend) to achieve design aesthetic, fit and construction with a cost excellence mindset

• Identify, adjust and apply pattern corrections to correct fit issues

• Effectively communicate and advise with technical team and cross functional partners on pattern construction

• Collaborate with key cross functional partners (Design/PD/TD) to monitor and maintain fit and construction to ensure brand consistency

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Pattern Making or equivalent industry experience

• Minimum five years of industry experience in pattern making (preferably development through production)

• Experience in multiple fits, extended sizing and product categories

• Experience working with manufactures across Asia, America and Europe

• Knowledge of fabric, construction, draping, graphic and dye techniques

• Knowledge of performance and ready to wear product and fit

Compensation and Benefits Package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $ 96,800 - 127,100 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
