Job Description

This is a maternity cover contract role until Sept 2025. 

As a PPC Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in our Performance Marketing team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy and framework for all search advertising activities including Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Apple Search Ads, and other platforms. You will manage budgets, drive change and innovation, and serve as a subject expert in

You will also oversee the team's performance, ensuring key performance indicators and commercial targets are met. You will maintain high quality standards, ensure compliance with promotional materials, and optimize the creative and proposition strategy for the search channel.

What you will do 

• Build the 3-year strategy & framework for UK Digital for all Search activity including Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Apple Search Ads and other search advertising platforms.  
• Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles to align with financial targets set quarterly delivering YoY growth in acquisition. 
• Drive change, adopting new channels and capabilities / platforms as they arise. Clearly describing commercial benefits of changes as they are delivered. 
• Seen as a subject matter expert and has additional specialist responsibilities in onboarding new technology used to automate processes and improve customer journeys.  
• Oversees all Search activity. Accountable for the team`s performance, including achievement of key KPIs and commercial targets.  Conduct weekly team meetings to follow up on tasks and make sure the team is on track with their KPIs. 
• Work to high quality standards, ensuring errors in execution (creative, audience, proposition) are always registered, and minimised. 
• Responsible for ensuring that all promotional materials are compliant, appropriate, and competitive.  
• Responsible for day-to-day management of a medium-sized team.   
• Recruitment, performance management and development. 

Qualifications

• People management experience is required. 
• Fluent in the analysis and presentation of data; complex data sets reduced to clear messages resulting in action from the various marketing teams. 
• Experience in PPC marketing including proven experience of working with Google Ads and other advertising platforms. 
• Igaming experience is preferred. 
• Demonstrated ability to think creativity and strategically; ability to articulate ideas clearly. 
• Good understanding of User Journeys, UX, Usability and Front-End technologies used to deliver them. 
• Strong stakeholder management skills: ability to build relationships to influence and guide amongst different levels of stakeholder seniority. 
• Ability to communicate appropriately to different levels of stakeholders, using relevant levels of detail.  
• Experience of managing complex, multi-brand budgets on a significant scale and demonstrating agility and flexibility in spend and target allocation.
