Media Operations prepare all the services and facilities for the press, photographers and non-rights holding broadcasters in the venues, helping them tell the stories and create lasting images of Women’s RWC 2025.

 

The Media Operations Coordinator will support with the overall preparations for the media and will be involved in all areas of the programme including venue planning, media services and media liaison. This role is focussed on the logistics of preparing for the media at tournament-time and delivering the highest level of customer service to the client group.

Media Operations Coordinator (Women’s RWC England 2025 LOC)

FIXED-TERM CONTRACT UNTIL OCTOBER 2025

BASED IN WEBB ELLIS HOUSE, TWICKENHAM

 

Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 (Women’s RWC 2025) will be the 10th edition of the women's tournament.  World Rugby, in partnership with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and UK Sport, have formed a Local Operating Company to plan and deliver the event.

 

Ambitions for the tournament are at an all-time high as women’s rugby is one of the fastest growing team sports in the world. Women’s RWC 2025 will be the ultimate stage for the best players, teams and coaches from 16 nations across the globe and is set to be the biggest and most widely watched women's rugby event ever. The Media Operations Coordinator will support with the overall preparations for the media and will be involved in all areas of the programme including venue planning, media services and media liaison. This role is focussed on the logistics of preparing for the media at tournament-time and delivering the highest level of customer service to the client group.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist the Media Operations Manager in the venue operational planning process
  • Oversee the administration of media accreditation and match allocation notifications
  • Respond to operational media enquiries
  • Coordinate operational media briefings
  • Create content for volunteer training and assist with the delivery of training sessions
  • Develop rosters for the volunteer team
  • Prepare material for use in the tournament-time media guide
  • Collate tournament-time reports and statistics for use in transfer of knowledge documents
  • Provide general administrative and organisational support to the Media Operations team

 

Experience & knowledge you’ll need:

  • Proven experience working in the media industry
  • Strong communications skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence in liaising directly with the media on operational matters
  • Ability and desire to provide a superior level of customer service

 

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience working in a live event environment
  • Experience with accreditation processes and systems
  • Experience dealing with international clients / stakeholders
