A day in the life:

Based in the Melbourne Store Support Centre, and reporting to Senior Legal Counsel, APAC, you will be responsible for a broad variety of legal matters including:

  • Providing support on all legal matters and identifying and advising on legal, commercial and compliance risks in Australia & New Zealand (“AUNZ”).
  • Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and legal documents, including leases, licenses, construction and design agreements, general contractor agreements, ecommerce terms and conditions, privacy policy, advertising contracts, service agreements, social media, celebrity, photographers & models agreements, partnership agreements, sponsorship agreements, vendor agreements and other types of operational documents.
  • Providing practical legal advices to business partners and the retail team on a wide variety of issues including consumer protection, ecommerce, data privacy and security, anti-bribery, anti-competition, advertising, gaming & sweepstakes laws, sustainability claims.
  • Developing and upgrading contract templates for use in AUNZ jurisdictions.
  • Supporting Brand & Community team in preparing ambassador agreements, campaign terms & conditions and event waiver.
  • Working with the ecommerce and technology team on digital and technology initiatives and projects.
  • Partnering with People & Culture and Global Employment team ensuring compliance with local labour law requirements and advising on practicable solutions.
  • Providing support to Senior Legal Counsel / Director on lululemon strategic and key initiatives and projects.
  • Conducting research on legal and regulatory developments in AUNZ.
  • Handling and coordinating any matters with external counsels when necessary.
  • Handling any ad-hoc tasks assigned.
  • Preparing training materials and conducting trainings to business partners in the region.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in laws.
  • Qualified lawyer in Australia.
  • 6 - 8 years of PQE with relevant in-house experience gained in MNCs.
  • Experience in retail and ecommerce an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • With strong business acumen, strong collaborative and good interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels, and be a good team player. At the same time, must be a self-starter who shows initiative.
  • Strong analytical skills, detailed-minded and ability to work independently.
  • Willing to take challenges on a daily basis. Embracing an ever changing working environment.
  • Work ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Passionate and able to learn quickly.
