We are looking to recruit two talented individuals for the position of Lead Strength & Conditioning
1-S&C Coach (Athletics) in Dammam.
2-S&C Coach (Paralympic Sports) in Jeddah.
1. JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for the coaching, delivery, and implementation of advanced strength and conditioning (S&C) programs aimed at optimizing athlete performance, physical conditioning, and the availability of targeted athlete groups within SOTC. This role ensures that athletes receive evidence-based training programs and best practices that align with SOPC’s objectives for peak athletic performance and well-being.

- Contribute to the development and execution of departmental strategies that align with the organization's overall goals, ensuring that initiatives are effectively implemented and monitored.
- Analyze performance metrics and operational data to inform decision-making and support strategic planning efforts within the team or department.
- Policies, Systems, and Procedures
- Implement and maintain organizational policies, systems, and procedures to ensure efficient operations and compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Regularly review and assess existing processes, recommending improvements to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and adherence to organizational policies.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Program Execution & Athlete Support
- Lead the coaching and delivery of tailored S&C programs for the designated sport or athlete cohort, ensuring they meet the specific needs of each athlete.
- Collaborate closely with coaches, nutritionists, and other high-performance professionals to deliver integrated, high-quality programs that enhance athlete performance.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders within the sport to develop comprehensive annual plans aimed at maximizing development opportunities and ensuring performance readiness.
- Oversee the systematic assessment of athletes' physical condition, progress, and performance metrics, ensuring that comprehensive data is accurately captured in the Athlete Management System to support continuous program evaluation and adjustment based on real-time performance indicators.
- Create a profile of the athlete's physical characteristics aligned with the needs & demands of the sport.
- Regularly review program outcomes and implement necessary adjustments to maintain optimal results, ensuring that all programs adhere to SOTC’s standards for effectiveness, safety, and athlete-centered service.
- Plan and deliver athletes’ rehabilitation journeys by coordinating with medical and coaching teams to create seamless, progressive return-to-play protocols, to adjust S&C plans based on individual recovery timelines, ensuring a safe and effective return to competition.
Collaboration & Relationship Building
- Build constructive, trusting relationships with athletes, coaches, and key stakeholders, fostering open communication and engagement.
- Facilitate regular check-ins to review goals, monitor progress, and discuss training adjustments, ensuring alignment with broader performance objectives.
- Positively influence multidisciplinary team function, including other S&C coaches, physiotherapists, and nutritionists, to deliver cohesive, athlete-focused support.
- Participate in team discussions, offering insights to help optimize athletes’ performance outcomes and support holistic development.
- Actively contribute insights to the coaching team, informing decision-making and goal-setting processes, ensuring clear communication and alignment with coaching staff to synchronize efforts and maintain consistency in athlete management.
Staff Supervision & Development
- Oversee the activity of S&C coaches working within the sport/cohort, providing guidance, mentorship and ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Support the professional development of S&C practitioners working within the sport/cohort, facilitating training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend developmental needs to the senior S&C staff to enhance practitioner capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Event Support
- Foster a collaborative and supportive environment that promotes teamwork and accountability, and an integrated approach to athlete care within the performance support services supporting the sport/cohort.
- Support the logistics for national and international events, training camps, and sport missions, ensuring that S&C services are effectively delivered in these settings to maintain continuity of athlete support.
- Data Management & Reporting
- Ensure accurate, timely, and comprehensive data entry into the Athlete Management System for all athletes receiving S&C services and use this data to monitor trends, inform program adjustments, and support the Director in strategic decision-making.
- Prepare regular reports on program effectiveness, athlete progress, and operational outcomes to keep the Director informed of key sport/cohort developments
Operational Management & Resource Coordination
- Ensure that sport/cohort-related facilities and equipment are fully operational, safe, and maintained.
- Coordinate with relevant departments for repairs, upgrades, or new equipment needs, and manage scheduling to optimize facility usage for training and recovery programs.
Other Accountabilities
Perform additional duties and responsibilities within the function’s mandate as assigned by leadership to meet evolving business needs and support organizational objectives.
3. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in Sports Management, or equivalent, with 2+ years of experience in Strength & Conditioning, or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Sports Administration, or equivalent, with 4+ years of experience in Strength & Conditioning, or a related field.
