National Coach, Rifle

1. JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for leading the technical and tactical preparation of national rifle athletes representing Saudi Arabia in international competitions. This role focuses on optimizing precision shooting performance through elite-level coaching, athlete selection input, and tailored training strategies. The coach manages national team camps, coordinates competition readiness, and collaborates closely with the Director, High Performance (Shooting) to ensure alignment with international standards and SOPC goals. Emphasis is placed on psychological preparedness, fine motor control, and compliance with ISSF rules and ethical practices.

Job-Specific Accountabilities

National Team Athlete Preparation

§  Develop and deliver high-performance rifle shooting programs, emphasizing stability, breathing, and trigger control for prone, standing, and kneeling positions.

§  Conduct technical coaching during national training camps and international events, ensuring tailored adjustments for each athlete’s shooting profile.

§  Utilize video analysis, scoring patterns, and performance data to refine shooting techniques and improve competition outcomes.

 

Selection & Performance Management

§  Support the national selection process by evaluating athlete readiness, consistency, and technical suitability for international representation.

§  Monitor athlete progression and ensure alignment with national performance benchmarks and Olympic qualification targets.

§  Provide detailed assessments of athlete performance following national/international competitions and camps.

 

Competition Strategy & Execution

§  Lead pre-competition tactical planning, including competition rhythm, equipment fine-tuning, and visualization exercises.

§  Accompany the national rifle team to international championships and ISSF events, providing real-time adjustments and in-match feedback.

§  Conduct post-event debriefs to identify improvement areas and integrate findings into future training cycles.

 

Stakeholder Coordination & Compliance

§  Coordinate with Director, High Performance, and national federation representatives to align strategy, logistics, and resource planning.

§  Ensure all athletes and coaching staff comply with anti-doping regulations, safety protocols, and international rifle competition rules.

§  Maintain a culture of professionalism, ethical competition, and athlete well-being.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities within the function’s mandate as assigned by leadership to meet evolving business needs and support organizational objectives
