Saudi Olympic Training Centre (SOTC)

The Saudi Olympic Training Centre is responsible for leading, investing and supporting elite sport in Saudi Arabia. Our ambition is to be the home of Saudi high-performance athletes, and the regions leading provider of sustainable sport high-performance programs and services.

This is a defining era for elite sport in Saudi Arabia and the next 10 years will provide an incredible opportunity to unite and inspire all of the country through sport. The Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee launched the Saudi Olympic Training Centre in November 2021 to ensure Saudi’s elite and emerging elite athletes could be supported into the future. In the last 2 years, strong progress has been made in supporting the best athletes from the nation to achieve success. After several years of declining performances, Team Saudi achieved their 3rd best total number of medals at the 2023 Asian Games, and the best ever medal achievement at the 2023 Asian Para Games – and we are only getting started.

We play a unique role in the sporting ecosystem and are responsible for the strategic leadership and investment in the area of elite sport. Our approach is to work in partnership with National Federations in supporting elite and emerging elite athletes. It is our responsibility to add value to an athlete’s journey in high-performance sport and identify solutions to a range of high-performance challenges across the ecosystem.

We have been established because elite sport matters and requires a very specific and targeted approach to achieve success on the international stage. Our values of Excellence, Collaboration and Integrity underpin how we approach and deliver for sport and create world leading environments.
