Job Description

As a Group Ethics Manager/Senior Manager you will be responsible for helping lead and support the implementation, development, and oversight of Entain's various Ethics & Compliance (E&C) workstreams and to drive forward a best-in-class ethical culture at Entain. There is a need to recruit an experienced compliance manager to the business as we expand and refine. 

Reporting to the Group Ethics Director you will be part of the Governance team

Working collaboratively with other team members this individual will gain the opportunity to work across the whole business, engaging with colleagues across the globe.  There is a real opportunity to be a key person in building and developing a best-in-class E&C programme, working to improve understanding of the commercial difference and impact a strong E&C programme and culture of integrity can make. Your drive and passion can make a difference in driving our E&C programme forward.

This role requires an understanding of typical listed-company E&C frameworks, policies, and initiatives to help drive progress, continuous improvement, and data analysis, focusing on a core set of compliance risks (bribery, corruption, conflicts of interest, competition law, sanctions, modern slavery, fraud and tax evasion).  The role also requires excellent stakeholder management across business, tech, and operations teams. 

What you will do

  • Supporting on the delivery of the E&C three-year strategy and leading on key projects, such as Entains Ethics Day.
  • Engaging with Senior Leaders to ensure good oversight, governance and tone from the top 
  • Implementing our various risk assessment processes, including risk-specific review and annual review, and ensuring timely completion of identified actions.
  • Supporting higher risk transactions through the review of onboarding of higher risk business partners and M&A activity
  • Tracking and assessing the impact of legal and regulatory developments, advising the business and changing the E&C programme as required
  • Developing and updating E&C policies and guidance and the Entain Code of Conduct,  leading the Entain Policy Governance Framework
  • Leading our modern slavery programme, running our modern slavery steering group and tracking implementation of our modern slavery strategy
  • Developing and delivering engaging face-to-face training sessions to key teams across Entain at all levels of the business
  • Monitoring and testing E&C controls and identifying improvements, developing metrics, data analytics and KPIs to measure and report on the effectiveness and impact of the programme



Qualifications

  • Extensive experience developing and delivering training in a compliance role. 
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations
  • Compliance experience in a multinational corporate setting (FTSE ideally) with a demonstrated understanding of all elements of compliance in relation to risk assessments, tone from the top/culture, training and communications, third party risk management, appropriate policies, procedures and controls, monitoring, assurance and review. 
  • Demonstrated high standards of professionalism, performance, quality, credibility, and integrity. Exhibits judgment and business acumen necessary to effectively advocate for the E&C program. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills required. 
  • Strong presentation skills required. 
  • Ability to work independently within a small team
