Job Title: Associate Sourcing Manager
Location: San Pedro Sula
Department: Strategic Sourcing
Role Overview:
Under limited supervision, the Associate Sourcing Manager will develop, manage and maintain the data and reporting functions for styles in each seasonal product line. They will assist the Sourcing Manager in the allocation and costing processes, communicate daily with the PCC’s (Product Creation Centers), and work cross functionally with the Product Development, Merchandise, Materials and Planning Teams.
The associate will also play a critical role in optimizing the company's inventory management and capacity planning processes. This individual will work closely with suppliers, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure the right balance between supply and demand, maintain adequate inventory levels, and drive efficiency in the supply chain. They will seek advice on complex issues and bring to management’s attention.
How you will make an impact:
- Monitor achievement of key development dates (calendar adherence) and alert sourcing manager when help is needed to achieve critical dates.
- Measure, analyze, act to critical dates such as material selection, target cost alignment, allocation, tech pack sent timing, cost and proto due dates and review meetings, cost confirmation status, line freeze preparation, and buy ready adherence.
- Maintain source tracker and communicate updates in a timely manner.
- Work with planning, sourcing director, and brand management to develop a material staging strategy.
- Assist sourcing manager in analyzing factory cost worksheets, work to reduce manufacturing lead times, and production minimums. Highlights to the sourcing manager changes to the product that would necessitate the vendor to re-quote. Analyze and communicate the financial impact of the changes.
- Use data and analytics tools to monitor inventory turns, stock aging, and reorder points, identifying any discrepancies and resolving them.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels across various product categories to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained, minimizing both stockouts and overstock situations.
- Assist in resolving supplier issues and discrepancies in a timely and effective manner.
- Work closely with the sourcing team to align product availability with procurement strategies and supplier capacity.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment of inventory and capacity with business goals.
- Coordinate with suppliers to monitor lead times, order quantities, and production schedules, ensuring they align with inventory needs and capacity constraints.
- Prepare reports and presentations on inventory status, capacity utilization, and supply chain performance for senior management.
What you bring to the team:
- Years of Related Professional Experience: 1+, preferably in Apparel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Ing, or equivalent degree in textile or apparel.
- Good understanding of the entire supply chain process from Design to Receipt.
- Detail oriented, and has good analytical, communication, customer services, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing, and flexible environment.
- Excellent PC skills (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook).
