Job Description

The Fraud Investigation Specialist is responsible for conducting comprehensive investigations into suspected fraudulent activities within the organization. This role involves analyzing financial and operational data, investigating customer's profiles, and collaborating with internal teams to identify, prevent, and mitigate instances of fraud. The Fraud Investigation Specialist plays a crucial role in protecting the organization's assets, reputation, and financial integrity.

What you will do

  • Conducting Fraud Risk Assessments: Evaluate and assess potential fraud risks within the organization by analyzing existing processes, controls, and vulnerabilities.
  • Identify areas that may be prone to fraudulent activities and develop strategies to mitigate the risks.
  • Gather and analyze financial and operational data, identifying patterns, anomalies, and potentially fraudulent activities.
  • Collaborate with Senior Fraud Investigation Specialist and Risk Team leader to ensure proper coordination and effective resolution of fraud cases.
  • Maintain documentation of investigative findings, including detailed reports, evidence, and recommendations for management action.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of fraud-related metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify emerging risks and patterns. Provide timely insights and recommendations to Senior management based on the analysis.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in internal controls and develop strategies to prevent and detect fraud.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, techniques, and regulations related to fraud detection and prevention.
  •  Assist in the development and implementation of fraud prevention programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve unauthorized access claims.



Qualifications

  • Experience in the Risk division
  • Sound knowledge of the different aspects of Risk work including Online Payments or Financial Services knowledge;
  • Ability to identify subtle fraud and abuse patterns;
  • Sound and demonstrable experience with fraud analysis and investigations;
  • Fluent in English language at business level;
  • Command of another language is a plus;
  • Good communication skills and ability to effectively deliver feedback;
  • Self-motivation;
  • Ability to perform well under tight deadlines within a dynamic environment;
  • Very good command of Microsoft office tools;
  • Proven aptitude to work in a team, as well as guide and influence others;
  • Strong logical reasoning skills with an analytical approach;
  • Demonstrated decision-making and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work from home for a while
  • Shifts: Morning and Afternoon shifts
