1. Position Overview
The Digital Product Manager is responsible for the strategic direction, product management, implementation and continuous improvement of BWF's digital products supporting Member Associations and Continental Confederations. The role owns the product roadmap for the MA Digital Ecosystem, including competition software, tournament management, club and membership functionality, integrations and associated digital services. The role works with internal stakeholders, Member Associations and technology partners to maximise adoption, improve user experience and deliver long-term value across the global badminton community.
2. Position Purpose
Reporting to the Digital Product Manager (Competition Software) provides management and leadership for the planning, governance, delivery and continuous improvement of products in the BWF's digital technology environment. The role is responsible for ensuring that the BWF new Member Association Digital Ecosystem is developed and launched effectively, to support the organisation's strategic objectives.
3. Key Responsibilities
3.1 Product Strategy and Ownership
- Own the vision, roadmap and lifecycle of the Member Association Digital Ecosystem.
- Prioritise enhancements based on organisational strategy, customer feedback and business value.
- Ensure alignment with BWF's Digital Strategy and wider digital ecosystem.
3.2 Product Delivery
- Gather and document business requirements from Member Associations, Continental Confederations and internal stakeholders.
- Manage third-party vendors and developers to deliver enhancements, integrations and new functionality.
- Oversee testing, release management, user acceptance testing and product documentation.
- Maintain product backlogs using Jira, Confluence or equivalent tools.
3.3 Competition Software and Digital Ecosystem
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of competition software and associated digital platforms.
- Ensure seamless integration with BWF systems including DataHub, rankings, ratings, websites, mobile applications and event platforms.
- Maintain data quality, security, performance and reliability across the ecosystem.
3.4 Stakeholder Engagement and Adoption
- Develop strong relationships with Member Associations and Continental Confederations.
- Lead product demonstrations, onboarding, training and user support.
- Develop user guides, learning resources and promotional material to maximise adoption.
3.5 Planning and Governance
- Develop annual operational plans, budgets, KPIs and product roadmaps.
- Monitor product performance and recommend future enhancements.
- Support wider BWF digital initiatives and undertake other duties as required.
Key Capabilities
- A passion for badminton.
- Experience managing digital products or SaaS platforms.
- Good understanding of Competition Software, and Membership systems.
- Strong understanding of product management methodologies and Agile delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and vendor management skills.
- Experience with competition management systems, sport technology or digital ecosystems is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate operational needs into scalable digital solutions.

5. Qualifications & Experience
- Degree qualification in Business, or Information Technology.
- Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Experience supporting digital products.
- Experience within an international sporting organisation or membership organisation is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This role operates within an international sporting environment supporting more than 203 Member Associations worldwide. The position requires collaboration across multiple time zones and occasional international travel to support governance meetings, Council activities and major BWF events.
