1. Position Overview
The Digital Product Manager (Rating) is responsible for the strategic direction, product management, continuous improvement and commercial growth of the BWF Global Badminton Rating System. The role owns the product roadmap, manages stakeholders and technology partners, drives adoption across the badminton ecosystem, and ensures the platform delivers an outstanding user experience.
2. Position Purpose
Reporting to the Digital Product Manager (Rating) provides management and leadership for the planning, governance, delivery and continuous improvement of products in the BWF's digital technology environment. The role is responsible for ensuring that the BWF’s new Global Badminton rating is developed and launched effectively, to support the organisation's strategic objectives.
3. Key Responsibilities
3.1.Product Strategy and Ownership
- Own the product vision, roadmap and lifecycle for GBR.
- Prioritise features using stakeholder feedback and strategic objectives.
- Ensure alignment with the wider BWF digital ecosystem.
3.2.Product Delivery
- Gather business requirements.
- Manage developers and vendors to deliver enhancements.
- Oversee testing, releases and documentation using Jira and Confluence.
3.3.Data and Platform Quality
- Ensure integrity of ratings and competition data.
- Coordinate integrations with DataHub, websites, apps and competition software.
- Monitor platform performance and reliability.
3.4.Business Development and Client Success
- Develop a global adoption strategy.
- Identify and onboard new clients.
- Lead training, onboarding and user support.
- Develop learning and promotional materials.
3.5.Planning and Leadership
- Develop operational plans, budgets and KPIs.
- Report on product performance and future opportunities.
- Support wider digital initiatives and other duties as required.
4. Key Capabilities
- Passion for badminton.
- Strong understanding of Competition Software.
- Experience managing digital or SaaS products.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Knowledge of Agile delivery, Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Experience in sports technology or digital platforms is desirable.
- Ability to translate operational needs into scalable digital solutions.

External: BWF Member Associations, Continental Confederations, commercial partners,
consultants and technology providers.
6. Qualifications & Experience
- Degree qualification in Business or Information Technology.
- Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Experience supporting digital products.
- Experience within an international sporting organisation or membership organisation is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This role operates within an international sporting environment supporting more than 203 Member Associations worldwide. The position requires collaboration across multiple time zones and occasional international travel to support governance meetings, Council activities and major BWF events.
