Our Commercial Premises Sales team partners with businesses across licensed venues, accommodation, aged care, mining and small business, delivering premium entertainment their customers love. We showcase Foxtel’s world-class premium selection of sports, movies, music, news channels and more, helping venues engage their audiences and create exceptional experiences.
We are currently recruiting a driven Business Development Manager to join our high-performing Commercial Sales team. In this pivotal role, you’ll take ownership of revenue growth, develop key accounts, and drive new business opportunities across your territory.
Day to day, you’ll be on the road prospecting for new commercial clients across pubs, clubs and licensed venues. This includes researching and identifying businesses within the hospitality and entertainment sector that would benefit from Foxtel’s Commercial products and services.

Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of commercial sales targets, driving revenue, margin and subscriber growth across licences venues, pubs, clubs, accommodation and the health sector.
- Proactively identify, research and pursue and close new business opportunities across your territory through cold calling, referrals, lead follow-up and industry events.
- Create, customise and deliver tailored business proposals to senior stakeholders.
- Develop and expand your key account base while delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining high NPS scores.
- Implement retention strategies to minimise churn and maximise long-term customer value.
- Build strong partnerships through deep understanding of client needs, buying criteria and decision-making processes.
- Conduct competitor analysis to stay ahead of market opportunities
- Provide accurate territory analysis, reporting and forecasting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of sales, service and product solutions.
- Apply industry-specific sales and marketing strategies to support commercial growth
- Travel as required across metropolitan, regional and remote areas to identify new business opportunities and nurture key accounts
About your experience
- 3+ years’ experience in major account or sales management within a medium–large sales organisation (licenced venues, pubs, clubs, accommodation providers preferred)
- Proven track record of driving growth across both new and existing customer bases.
- Advanced negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong ability to understand complex products and transform customer needs into complete commercial solutions.
- Experience presenting business proposals to senior-level decision makers.
- Exceptional problem-solving, conflict resolution and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and excel in fast-paced, competitive environments.
- Self-driven, highly motivated and committed to meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Resilient, adaptable and comfortable working autonomously.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Current and valid Driver’s Licence, with the ability and willingness to travel across metropolitan, regional and remote areas to service clients and grow the territory.
