About this team

The Art Director of the APAC Creative team will report to the Art Director of APAC Studio. Partnering with the Brand Marketing team, the Art Director will be responsible for delivering best-in-class brand storytelling and creative experiences to our existing and prospective guests. Representing an athletic apparel brand, the Art Director will provide creative solutions through Tier 3 campaign and smaller weekly moments while maintaining the brand's tone of voice and our product USP, ensuring our guests continue to develop a deep understanding of our brand motto, product innovation, product fit, and function. The Art Director will work collaboratively with Creative Ops, Creative Strategist, Copywriters, cross-functional brand partners, and external agencies to deliver cutting-edge creative solutions.

A day in the life:

  • Conceptualizing strategic positioning, platform and artistic direction of campaigns, productions, and projects for APAC
  • Develop and execute a campaign vision across multiple creative disciplines which include (but may not be limited to):
    • Creative Direction Communication via Deck Building (InDesign, Keynote, Powerpoint)
    • Artistic Direction and Enrollment Briefing
    • Visual Design Systems
    • Graphic Design Systems
    • Typography Design Systems
    • Multi-Channel Creative Application
  • Support the Creative Director(s) on driving and establishing a consistent brand voice, brand position, brand creative direction throughout the APAC region as well as within the individual countries under its regional remit
  • Maintain a high standard of creative and artistic direction from concept-to-delivery for all creative work (Briefing > Strategy > Creative Direction > Art Direction > Pre-Production > Production > Post-Production)
  • Serving as a category expert, driving a deep understanding of insights to deliver compelling creative.
  • Safeguarding the brand by maintaining lululemon's visual language.
  • Overseeing the entire lifecycle of new in-region campaigns, including ideation, execution, and review.
  • Ensuring a consistent and unified brand experience across various mediums and channels, such as windows, visual merchandising, e-commerce, film, social media, and advertising.
  • Maintaining strong connections with the global Creative team to stay updated on the brand's creative direction.
  • Delivering creative solutions efficiently within specified timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Developing creative briefs, strategies, and executions through collaboration with cross-functional partners (marketing, strategy, product, R&D).
  • Driving the concept-to-execution process for brand and product storytelling across channels.
  • Operating and delivering creative executions for campaigns of varying scales.
  • Monitoring brand and campaign performance, interpreting data to influence creative strategies and executions.
  • Collaborating and influencing cross-functional teammates.
  • Organizing and leading cross-functional ideation sessions to develop creative briefs.
  • Overseeing project creative management, team coordination, and ensuring high-quality production delivery.
  • Collaborating with Creative Ops to influence team/project timelines, facilitate progress, and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Providing key input on projects/initiatives, contributing to resource and budget allocation for fiscal planning.
  • Ensuring Tier 3 and weeklies are executed on time and within budget.
  • Developing and driving creative initiatives based on project needs.
  • Identifying opportunities for professional growth and development within the team.
  • Inspiring the team by pushing creative processes, methods, brand storytelling, and differentiation.
  • Building and managing relationships with potential regional collaborators such as photographers, models, or producers.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of direct experience in medium to large retail brands or agencies, covering both online and offline execution.
  • Experience working with external creative and production partners.
  • Experience and exposure working in a regional office will be a bonus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a creative-related field.
  • Experience leading a project team.
  • Positive approach to problem-solving through analytical thinking and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks, adapt to project changes, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Genuine passion for brand creative and creative operations.
  • Must be a self-starter, critical thinker, team player, thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and flexible.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Basic understanding of the go-to-market process.
  • Knowledge of culture and marketing nuances.
