Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
Position
He/She will:
- Serve as the primary point of contact during the Games' facility operations, leading the Facility Services Center on-site and ensuring seamless execution.
- Ensure alignment between the operational needs of the Olympic and Paralympic Villages and the broader goals of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
- Lead and supervise maintenance teams, ensuring the functionality, safety, and high performance of all Olympic Village facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to proactively identify and address any maintenance, safety, or regulatory compliance issues.
- Act as the go-to resource for all facility-related concerns, taking proactive steps to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
- Foster strong communication with site owners and key stakeholders, ensuring smooth coordination across all MICO Functional Areas to deliver on the Olympic Village design and operational elements.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance operations, repairs, inspections, and other key aspects related to the management and upkeep of the facilities.
- Contribute to the analysis of Olympic Village overlay designs, offering insights into their technical feasibility and ensuring they are executed effectively.
- Lead and conduct training sessions for staff, ensuring adherence to Olympic and Paralympic standards and protocols (in collaboration with the PEM team).
- Participate with developing the Facilities Services Program for the Olympic and paralympic Villages.
- Participate with the planning, identifying, scheduling, and managing the custodial, groundskeeping and maintenance/repair contractors for the Olympic and Paralympic Villages.
- Develop Village Maintenance and Logistics work order/request plan.
- Schedule the Facility Service Centre staff within the Olympic Village.
- Administer assets and condition inventory processes.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, facility management, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of managing large-scale facilities and operations.
- In-depth knowledge of facility systems and equipment, with an understanding of local regulations and compliance requirements.
- Previous involvement in managing or overseeing operations in Olympic/Paralympic or multi-sport event environments is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English and Italian, both written and verbal, with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Decisive and accountable, able to make tough decisions and take responsibility in challenging situations.
- A team-oriented mindset with a hands-on attitude, always willing to go the extra mile for the success of the team and the project.
- Self-motivated, maintaining a positive outlook and leading by example.
