Supervisor, Bus Services, FIFA World Cup 2026

Department: Tournament and Venue Operations

Employment Type: Fixed Term - Full Time

Location: Miami

Description
Reporting organisationally to the Manager, Bus Services the Supervisor, Bus Services will be a key member of the FIFA26 Transport team, and work in close collaboration with the Operational Services team and other key individuals responsible for delivering the implementation of FIFA Bus Management operations including VIK and rental Bus Commissioning/Decommissioning and Bus Depot. Further, this role will oversee the training and motivation of bus drivers, service provider staff for the duration of the FIFA26.

THE POSITION
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Supervisor, Bus Services the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:

• Assist the Manager, Bus Services in planning and execution of bus operations.
• Liase with VIK and rental bus service provider for operational planning and readiness.
• Define operational and safety procedures for bus operations in coordination with bus service provider and within transport functional area.
• Defines vehicle access and parking permit needs (VAPPs) and coordinate with VAPPs team to obtain them.
• Commissioning and decommissioning of buses including VAPP & GPS installation, branding and un-branding of buses.
• Day to day coordination with bus service provider and enhancing required support.
• On twenty-four (24) hour basis, he/she will be required to respond and assume command during emergencies or major incidents.
• Develop and train event time bus services team.
• Coordinate with all client bus managers and develop driver training material.
• Coordinate with bus service providers to deliver driver training for efficient services.
• Works to prevent accidents and reduce injuries by observing and identifying problem areas, performing safety audits, investigating incidents, enforcing safety regulations and recommending corrective actions.
• Identifies and responds to performance deviations and determines course of action to correct problems, including progressive disciplinary actions and recommendations for additional training.
• Assist to Bus Services Manager to designs and implements Bus Operation Plan across United States, Canada and Mexico to service all FIFA Constituent Groups, based on FIFA requirements and agreed service levels including but not limited to:
o World Cup Tournament
o Final Draw
o Test Events
o Team and Referees Workshops
o Other side events
• Ensures integration of depot operations into overall bus operations, as well as correlation with all other Transport services and operations.
• Identifies key risks of bus service provider's operations and prepare mitigation plan.
• Coordinating with other client bus managers and ensuring that bus schedules and driver duty borads are timely available to bus service providers for efficient services.

YOUR PROFILE
• Bachelor's Degree in Transportation or business administration, or a combination of education and experience relating to position.
• Minimum of 3 years Transport work experience: ideally within the football, sport event or Three (3) years of experience as a Bus Operator, Bus Service Supervisor or Bus Instructor.
• Experience in conflict resolution and customer service.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from support staff, managers, and clients. Individual must be motivated, capable of working independently, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of administration and management principles.
• Advanced knowledge of customer and personal service principles.
• Intermediate knowledge of business process management.
• Ability to prioritize customer's needs, authority requirements, and FIFA26 regulations.
• Advanced skill in conflict resolution.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Advanced communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and lead a team.
• Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
