Description
Reporting organisationally to the Head of Financial Reporting, the Manager of Financial Reporting will be a key member of the FIFA26 Finance team, and work in close collaboration with the Finance team at the FIFA headquarter in Zurich, Switzerland, and other key individuals responsible for delivering timely, accurate financial reporting services to FIFA26's internal and external stakeholders. This role will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting by preparing accurate and timely financial statements and documents in line with local US GAAP and IFRS. The candidate will primarily perform month/year end close activities, balance sheet, revenue, expense, and payroll account reconciliations.

THE POSITION
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Manager of Financial Reporting for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:

• Assist with month end and year end closing activities which includes the balance sheet and income statement reconciliations and preparing accurate and timely reconciliation workbooks.
• Review transactions to ensure compliance with local, IFRS and FIFA Accounting principles.
• Review general ledger accounts and make necessary journal entries including posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile payroll and social charges, bonus accruals and pay out.
• Perform monthly and annual period-over-period analysis and review company expenditures.
• Produce error-free and timely accounting reports and present their results.
• Perform review of month/year end closing and financial statements of FIFA's subsidiaries in Canada and Mexico.
• Internal control systems: Seek ways to improve upon accounting processes and internal control system.
• Audit: Prepare and provide required documentation to respond to financial audits performed by internal and external auditors.
• Treasury: Assist with effective cash management by regularly monitoring the cash balances and preparing timely cash funding requests.
• Internal partners: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, legal, and compliance, to address financial reporting related issues and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
• Tax: Assist with federal, state, and local tax compliance.
• Other items: Assist the Head of Financial Reporting and the management on special requests, as well as handling various ad-hoc projects as they arise.

YOUR PROFILE
Education & Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration with a specialization in accounting.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
• In-depth understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
• SAP proficiency preferred.

Work Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of experience with accounting, financial reporting, and audit.
• Big 4 experience is preferred.
• Strong focus on timeline and attention to detail with a proactive approach to preventing, identifying, and resolving issues.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and establish trust, respect, and confidence.
