We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer with a passion for Unreal Engine to help us build the next generation of our configurator and product visualization initiatives

As a Software Engineer with Unreal Engine expertise, you will play a crucial role in driving the technical vision and strategy for our configurator and product visualization initiatives. You will work closely with our principal and lead engineers to optimize processes, generate proper unit tests, and ensure seamless data exchange between systems

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Software Engineer 2 - 3D Pipeline to join our dynamic CP&I team at Nike. In this role,

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or related technical subject area or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2+ years of experience in 3D pipeline development and tool creation, ideally in a product design or visualization environment

  • Proficiency in Python, C++, javascript / node.js or other relevant programming languages. 

  • Strong understanding of 3D graphics principles, animation, visualization technologies, and real-time rendering. 

  • Experience with 3D software packages (Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini, Blender) and game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity). 

  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for real-time applications or game engines, particularly Unreal Engine is a plus.

  • Experience with WebRTC, pixel streaming, and Gamelift streaming technologies is a plus.

  • Strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices. 

  • Familiarity with version control systems and software development best practices.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a passion for technical excellence. 

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

  • A passion for innovation and pushing the boundaries of digital product creation.

  • Experience working in the footwear or apparel industry is a plus

  • Experience with games engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity is a plus

WHAT YOU’LL WORK

  • Pipeline Development and Maintenance: Design, implement, and maintain efficient, robust, and scalable 3D pipelines that integrate seamlessly with our existing design and production workflows.
  • Tool Development: Create custom tools and scripts to automate repetitive tasks, optimize processes, and empower designers and engineers to work more effectively.
  • CI/CD: Work on a range of tech stacks including underlying infrastructure, build and test automation, release pipelines, and developer tooling.
  • Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to 3D pipelines, tools, and data management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective 3D solutions.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in 3D graphics and visualization, and explore new ways to leverage them for product innovation.
  • Documentation: Develop clear and concise documentation for 3D pipelines, tools, and processes.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
