WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a senior engineer who can lead complex projects, influence technical direction, and mentor others. You’re a strategic thinker, a strong communicator, and a champion of engineering excellence.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Architect and build robust, scalable systems using AWS, React, and TypeScript

  • Work on prototypes using disruptive technologies to accelerate innovation

  • Be the feature champion for large units of work and drive technical alignment

  • Mentor engineers and foster a culture of learning and innovation

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and deliver impactful solutions

  • Ensure systems are secure, performant, and maintainable

  • Contribute to team rituals and help shape engineering culture

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Positive attitude, growth mindset, being honest and having strong technical & non-technical communication skills is a must-have

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience

  • 3+ years native cloud engineering experience in a high scale, business critical domain

  • Excellent computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, and modern cloud native design patterns

  • Proven expertise in systems design and high-level end to end thinking

  • Deep experience with distributed cloud systems tech (Java, node.js, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, or Google Cloud/Azure equivalents)

  • Deep expertise in cloud-native development (AWS), front-end frameworks (React), and TypeScript

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple senior stakeholders

  • Proven ability to lead projects and influence technical strategy

  • High alignment with NIKE’s leadership principles and a passion for mentoring

  • Solid foundations on AIML concepts, vector databases, RAG and Gen AI design patterns is a huge plus

  • Domain experience in additive manufacturing, robotics, simulations, computational algorithms, point cloud optimizations, statistical methodologies and product creation is a huge plus but not required
