In short

The LightSpray Footwear Creation Manager will collaborate with innovation, product creation, and manufacturing teams to shape the future of On's product line by implementing workflows and operationalizing the creation of new footwear products. This role is responsible for collaborating and planning the fabrication of footwear samples within the product creation organization.

Your Mission

  • Align sample fabrication with company strategy, Interface with key stakeholders to collect and manage incoming footwear sample requests across all business units.
  • Provide visibility to delivery expectations, resource constraints, and processes to stakeholders through project management skill sets and continuous communication.
  • Oversee the product creation process workflow, ensuring the cadence of deliverables and needs are met on time.
  • Coordinate and oversee the sample creation process, Ensure that all scheduled footwear samples are created successfully and on time throughout all creation and commercialization stages.
  • Closely collaborate with operational teams to schedule footwear sample fabrication as well as manage calendars and workload based on technical proficiency and availability
  • Oversee the sample creation process: Verify that all materials are ready and that all stakeholders are informed and available at the right time.
  • Align with development teams to understand product requirements.
  • Align with the production team to understand and validate manufacturability of development projects.
  • Assist operations teams and commercialization teams to ensure products reach mass manufacturing readiness in accordance with manufacturability and quality standards.
  • Work closely with the innovation, product creation, engineering, manufacturing, and leadership teams to create an environment of interdisciplinary collaboration and drive the development of innovative prototypes.
  • Create and update the processes for sample operations to ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities for all stakeholders involved.
  • Forge strong connections with our manufacturing and development partners across Asia, actively participating in the assurance of successful information transfer strategies, and fostering a collaborative cross-border working relationship.
  • Demonstrate expertise in fabricating and assembling footwear. This includes, but is not limited to, upstream material and component suppliers of components and timelines associated with sample fabrication.

Your story

  • 5+ years of business operations/project management experience - footwear & innovation experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business operation, project management, or another relevant field preferred
  • Ability to identify process issues and offer solutions to improve functionality and efficiency
  • Proven ability to lead process creation and process improvement while continuing to run the business
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort adapting communication style between engineers, designers, line operators, leaders, and cross-functional non-product creation partners
  • Ability to work independently on several projects simultaneously requiring both focus and ownership in an dynamic, unclear environment
  • Exemplify a high tolerance for ambiguity and solution-focused attitude
  • Travel up to 10% of the time
