The Graphics Engineer will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of color management workflows within our Innovation and Production environments. This role requires expertise in color matching, file preparation for printing, and ensuring high-quality print outcomes, particularly within Inkjet Systems. The ideal candidate has experience working in a cross functional setting and a strong understanding of color science and inkjet printing technologies.
Your Mission
- Inkjet System Management: Oversee the operation and optimization of Inkjet Systems for color accuracy and print quality.
- Color Management Workflow: Implement, maintain, and refine the color management workflow (of multiple moving parts of a single process) to ensure consistent and accurate color reproduction across all outputs.
- Color Matching and File Creation: Perform precise color matching for various processes, including color matching on non white substrate, and prepare print-ready files (e.g., tiff creation).
- Quality Control (Q/C): Establish QC standards that will be implemented through the sampling and production processes.
- Automation: Participate in the development and implementation of Sequence and color profile Automation. Assist computational designers in the automation of print files that are production ready.
- Production Environment Support: Work collaboratively within a production environment, troubleshooting issues related to graphics, color, and print processes.
Your story
- Technical background in the operation, maintenance, and optimization of industrial Inkjet systems
- 2+ Years of professional experience in a related field
- Educational Background: An apprenticeship as Printing Technologist or a bachelor’s degree in Printing Technology, Color Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field
- Proven ability in Color matching and print file creation.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing a robust color management workflow for novel applications.
- Experience with color matching on non-white substrates or similar specialized color processes.
- Prior experience Working in an innovation or production environment with strict deadlines and quality standards.
- Experience in Quality Standards Establishment.
