Full Description
In short
We are a team of strategic product leaders who partner with core business functions—from R&D and Design to Sourcing and Supply Chain—to build the platforms and systems that power On's growth.
As a member of our team, you will have a unique opportunity to drive significant transformation and make a tangible impact on the future of one of the world's most exciting brands.
Your Mission
As a Senior Product Manager for Sourcing, you will be the go-to person for our supplier-facing technology, revolutionizing how we interact with our global network of suppliers. Your mission is to define the vision, strategy, and tech roadmap for our sourcing domain (e.g. supplier onboarding, communications and data management). Your work will directly impact our operational efficiency, supplier relationships, and ability to scale our sourcing capabilities for the future.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Product Vision & Strategy - Contribute to and own the product strategy for a supplier platform. Align teams on the product's goals and purpose, consistently using the strategy to guide daily decisions and priorities.
-
Process Analysis & Re-engineering - Analyze and map existing sourcing and procurement process flows to identify opportunities for significant improvement and re-engineering, ensuring the new platform drives efficiency.
-
Technical & Architectural Alignment - Partner with principal engineers to ensure the chosen platform aligns with our existing technical infrastructure and long-term architectural vision. You will identify and prioritize technical, functional, and quality issues.
-
Stakeholder & Supplier Collaboration - Work closely with internal teams (Sourcing, product development and product operations) and engage directly with external suppliers to deeply understand their workflows, pain points, and needs. Build trust and healthy cross-functional relationships.
-
Requirements Definition - Translate business needs and user insights into detailed product requirements, functional user stories, and acceptance criteria.
-
Backlog Management & Prioritization - Own and prioritize the product backlog, breaking down complex problems and demonstrating sound judgment to balance business value, user impact, and technical feasibility.
-
Lifecycle Ownership & Quality - Manage the entire product lifecycle from discovery to launch and iteration. Perform iterative validation to ensure quality and drive meaningful business value by linking product goals to company objectives.
-
Vendor Management - If a "buy" decision is made, lead the evaluation and selection process, managing vendor relationships and overseeing the technical integration.
Your story
-
Experience - You have 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably delivering B2B or enterprise-level software in a technology or e-commerce environment. Experience with supply chain, manufacturing, sourcing, or procurement systems is a strong plus.
-
Product Craft - You have a deep understanding of your product domain and master product management concepts. You have a proven ability to prioritize effectively, manage a backlog, and make sound judgments on trade-offs between user needs, business value, and technical effort.
-
Technical Acumen - You possess a strong grasp of technical architecture, APIs, and system integration concepts, enabling you to facilitate productive discussions with engineering and assess vendor solutions.
-
Customer-Centric & Data-Driven - You possess a good grasp of the business landscape and have a deep empathy for your users. You consistently ask, "What does the data say?" and use market and research data to make informed decisions.
-
Agile Practitioner - You are experienced with agile development methodologies and have a history of working collaboratively and effectively with engineering teams to deliver high-quality products.
-
Leadership & Influence - You are a go-to person who can positively influence the strategic direction of your team. You excel at communicating plans, priorities, and progress to stakeholders and can clearly articulate value propositions and trade-offs.
-
Entrepreneurial Drive - You are a self-starter with an owner's mindset, who is comfortable setting direction in ambiguity and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, "can-do" environment.
-
Strategic Mindset - You are a strategic thinker who can connect business goals to technology solutions, balancing long-term vision with short-term, pragmatic execution.
-
Location & Travel - You must be located or willing to relocate to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and be willing to travel occasionally to our Hanoi office and to our key supplier locations both in and outside of Vietnam.
-
Language - You are fluent in Vietnamese and English. Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
What to expect
We want to set everyone up for success, so here’s the lowdown on how we hire. Our process is a two-way street – bringing you into our culture, while helping us learn how you think.
Our full process can last about eight weeks from application to offer, because we care about getting it right. These steps explain how we usually do things.
Before you get started, feel free to consider if you want to work with us. Strange question? Well, we give people a lot of space to navigate their day-to-day and that style isn't for everyone. We want you to be passionate about what you do and be sure this is the right fit. Because when skills and passion combine – it creates that 'Wow' moment.
Step One
It starts with you...
You'll start by submitting your application to a specific role. We try to keep this step as simple as possible. We do get a lot of applications, but we review them all. If you're a good fit to the role, a recruiter will follow up with you directly. If you didn't receive a reply, or were unsuccessful this time around, we encourage you to look for other possible matches at On.
Step Two
Interview with a recruiter
What ignites your spirit? This is where we’ll start getting to know all about you and what makes you tick – and it’s your first chance to get a feel for our culture. Chatting with a member of our talent team, you’ll learn more about On and how we work. We’ll learn about what motivates you and what you could bring to the team.
Step Three
Interview with a hiring manager
Ready to dig into the details? This second interview will be held with your future manager and will focus on the specifics of the job. Together you’ll delve into your unique skills and experiences and how they could be relevant at On. It's also a time to assess how you might feel working side-by-side. Bring any questions you have about the job, the team or anything else you might like to know – this is an open forum.
Step Four
The Case Study
What's your style? This task will help us understand how you think, face a challenge and give insight into your novel ideas. Designed to give everyone their best shot, your case study is based on something you might typically experience on the job. This is your chance to show us what you’ve got. So express yourself. Be you.
Step Five
The Experience Day
Your first taste of the Oniverse. This is a time to meet some of the people you'll be working closest with. In person or virtually, you'll get a feel for the day-to-day at On and the people who make it happen. You'll chat with a few potential teammates - the conversations will be as equally driven by the role and your experience as by our values. We believe how you do things is just as important as what you do.
Step Six
The Result
Are we a good fit? We’ll get together internally to share our feedback and decide if we’re a match. We know that job searching is a big time investment, so it’s not a decision we take lightly. It’s also time for you to reflect on the experience – are we the right place for you? No matter the outcome, we’ll give you meaningful feedback.
