Job Description
Wasserman Music is seeking a Senior Manager, Pricing & Ticketing UK to work as a data-driven partner across the Wasserman Music division of agents and services team to develop pricing strategy and sales plans for appropriate tours and one-off events. The position is to act as a centralized resident expert in primary ticketing within the Wasserman Music UK office, guiding agents and clients on different opportunities in the ticketing space to maximize revenue and/or manage inventory when needed. The position will collaborate internally with clients, agents, US Ticketing Director and tour marketing services team, and externally with promoter buyers and national & local box offices to develop ticket strategy for events to optimize the performance of key consumer revenue streams across Wasserman Music.
Position Overview & Job Description:
Primary Ticketing:
- Providing expertise and opportunities to maximize on-platform ticketing resources available to Wasserman client shows & tours via the major ticketing agencies (Ticketmaster, AXS, Eventim, etc). Goal for the position to be a day-to-day resource available within the agency of best practices within primary ticketing + build and help execute strategies based on client goals within the primary ticketing space.
- This includes, but not limited to
- Analyzing historical ticket pricing and sales trends via Wasserman proprietary CRM platform and outside resources available
- Work hand in hand w/ agents, clients and buyers on pricing strategy for national/global tours and independent tours.
- Provide scaling recommendations based on historical primary ticketing data and comparable artists & venues in the marketplace
- Review offers from promoters with client goals in mind, recommending edits for scaling, price tiering, VIP pricing, and if applicable, platinum/premium allocations across markets on a tour.
- Create detailed presentations to advise on tour ticket pricing models
- Serving as a check and balance with our promoter partners on all things ticketing on a local & national level
- Provide data to agent teams to make informed decisions on pricing & ticketing strategy
In conjunction with Wasserman marketing, agents and data team, learn and act as the resident expert for Wasserman Music’s proprietary data and ticket pricing platform.
Foster and develop relationships with various outlets (ie. Discount channels, entertainment groups, etc.) to offer and execute strategies to move distressed ticket inventory when appropriate.
In conjunction with Global Head of Marketing, US Director, Ticketing & tour marketing team, create and document operational and strategic best practices to scale across the music division
Find marketing opportunities to promote our tours via primary ticketing outlets based on client goals
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge and experience in live music tour ticketing (minimum of 4-5 years of experience)
- Experience in Ticketmaster, Eventim and AXS products a plus
- Strong organizational and project-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competent and comfortable building and presenting ticket tiered pricing presentations and financial models for agent teams and clients
- Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
- Highly organized, detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment while managing multiple priorities
- Must be always discrete and professional and maintain absolute confidentiality as this position regularly handles sensitive information
- Proven pricing experience desirable
