The Purpose:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Sales Associate to join our Megastore team on a permanent
basis.
The successful candidate will support the team in delivering the successful day-to-day operation of the Megastore, ensuring the highest level of customer service is maintained. The Sales Associate will use their proactive sales skills and product knowledge to connect customers with the full range of Manchester United merchandise, aiming to exceed individual sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store.
The role also involves close collaboration with Team Leaders and Assistant Managers to ensure smooth operations and maintain a consistent, high-quality customer experience within the Megastore.
The Role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience, proactively connecting fans to the right products and the
- Manchester United brand.
- Utilise customer service skills, sales techniques, and product knowledge to drive individual and team sales targets.
- Operate tills, shirt printing machines, and other relevant equipment with expertise and care.
- Replenish stock on the sales floor and maintain the highest standards of store presentation and housekeeping.
- Assist with stock counts and ensure stock management processes are followed accurately.
- Support merchandising and promotional initiatives within the Megastore as directed by the management team.
- Collaborate closely with Team Leaders and Assistant Managers, providing feedback and reporting customer insights or issues.
- Take initiative to resolve minor customer queries independently and escalate more complex issues appropriately.
- Participate actively in team briefings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives
The Person:
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
- Proven ability in a pro-active sales environment, with a strong customer service focus.
- Experience in customer-facing roles, preferably including personalised product services such as shirt
- printing.
- Knowledge and experience managing stock take processes and procedures.
- Flexible, proactive, and results-driven approach to work, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to maintain high standards of store presentation and deliver excellent customer experience in a
- fast-paced environment.
- Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Hours of Work
The employee is required to work 40 hours per week, based on a working week from Monday to Sunday.
Additional hours and/or days may be required from time to time, depending on operational needs
