Head Performance Analyst (Women’s Team)
Location: Carrington Training Complex

The Role:
The Head Performance Analyst (Womens) is responsible for leading the analysis of team and player performance to optimise strategies and enhance overall effectiveness on the pitch. This role requires extensive experience in performance analysis, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to provide actionable insights that inform tactical decisions and player development.
Key responsibilities:
- In-Depth Match Analysis: Analyse match footage and performance data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports for the coaching staff, highlighting key findings and tactical recommendations.
- Player Performance Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of player performances, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and developing individualised reports to guide player development and tactical adjustments.
- Tactical Support: Collaborate directly with the 1st Team Manager and coaching staff to inform tactical decisions based on analytical insights. Provide strategic recommendations to enhance team performance in upcoming matches.
- Technology: Use advanced performance analysis software and tools (e.g., Wyscout) for video analysis and data collection, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and detail in reporting.
- Post-Match Reviews: Run post-match analysis sessions, presenting findings and facilitating discussions on performance outcomes and tactical adjustments for future fixtures.
- Support the Head of Recruitment with data and video assessment of potential new signings.
The Person:
- Analysing match footage on individual & team level, to identify areas for improvement & adherence to prior gameplan
- Using software to (live) code specific events, support the provision of feedback to coaches at half-time
- Collect and analyse statistical data from training sessions, generating bespoke data to allow for player-comparisons by position.
- Present & maintain dataset relating to individual player performances on position-specific KPIs across the season.
- Code opposition match footage to support the creation of opposition profiles
- Development of scouting reports and pre-match presentations for the coaching staff and players
- Creation of individual opposition profiles.
- Ability to film training sessions (team & goalkeeper) using a variety of tools (drones, gopro, end-zone)
- Upload training sessions/match footage to Hudl in a timely manner to allow for further analysis by coaching staff/players.
- Management of performance analysis equipment, ensuring it is functional and up to date.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of football, with a particular focus on women's football.
- Previous experience in performance analysis, preferably in a women's football environment.
- Proficiency in performance analysis software such as Angles, SportsCode, Hudl & Wyscout.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate training and match schedules.
