WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

Within the EHS team, you are part of the Internal Service for Prevention and Protection at Work as a safety advisor. You report directly to the EHS Manager (prevention & training). Together with your fellow safety advisors, you will work on a safe and healthy ELC for all athletes and third parties. To succeed, you will work closely with various departments and in particular the Distribution Directors of your Distribution Centers (DCs) in Ham or Laakdal. Your fellow employees of the DCs are your partner in achieving the safety and health objectives. Together with the CPBW members, you will work on permanent improvement.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Within the Nike ELC, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) is looking for a Safety Advisor. The safety adviser is part of the internal service for prevention and protection at work and supports the employer in creating a safe and healthy employment of employees and third parties, in accordance with the Welfare Legislation.

Must‑Haves — Your Baseline to Play at Pro Level:

  • Safety Expertise That Shows
Level 1 certification and safety coordination certificate A preferred — or at least 3 years of hands‑on experience at Level 2. You know the rules of the game (machine safety knowledge) and how to apply them with confidence.
  • Technical Roots, Ready to Move
A technical secondary school degree, plus ideally experience in a fast‑paced logistics environment. You have (basic) concepts in the ergonomic aspects of logistics operations.
  • Team-First Mindset
You thrive in collaboration and know how to work closely with large operational teams to keep things running smoothly.
  • Language Game Strong
You’re fluent in Dutch and English — clear, confident, and ready to connect across functions.

Other Skills That Step Up Your Performance:

  • Facilitation & Reporting Strength
You can lead discussions with diverse stakeholders and turn complex conversations into sharp, structured reports.
  • Flexibility in Your DNA
Occasionally working outside office hours? No problem — your sense of responsibility goes the extra mile.
  • Deep Technical Awareness
You bring strong technical know‑how and familiarity with the machinery ordinance.
  • Ergonomic Insight
You know how to assess ergonomic risks and translate them into clear, actionable improvements.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

To guarantee the well-being of our employees and third parties, it is your job to assist and advise the employer and managers. You assess workstations or specific distribution activities and map out the risks. Where necessary, you will investigate hazards and draw up advice. For new installations and processes, you provide the managers with a commissioning report. You aim for preventive actions and exclude the recurrence of accidents and incidents by cooperating in the investigation and by proposing measures.
