Job Overview
The Production Artist supports the execution and optimization of production workflows within the agency. This role works closely with the Production Lead, creative, account, and vendor teams to ensure schedules, quality control, and technical specifications are met — delivering exceptional work on time and on brand.
What You’ll Do
• Ensure that creative concepts are executed accurately and consistently across all production materials
• Review mechanical files for compliance with printer specs, color management standards, and overall quality control
• Collaborate with team members to support production workflows and maintain documentation standards
• Work closely with the Creative Resource Manager and Production Lead to maintain production schedules, track deliverables, and help ensure projects meet deadlines and budget parameters
• Participate in status meetings to stay aligned on priorities and timelines
• Contribute ideas to improve studio processes, protocols, and workflow efficiency
What We’re Looking For
• 4–6+ years of experience in a Production role within an agency (or similar) environment
• Keen eye for detail when designing and reviewing work
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator)
• Strong understanding of production and print processes and best practices
• Experience preparing files for both print and digital outputs
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Solution-oriented approach to troubleshooting issues with internal teams and suppliers
• Exceptional organizational skills, especially with file management and archiving
• Experience reviewing vendor specs and following trafficking requirements
• Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Self-starter with a positive “can-do” attitude
• Previous agency or in-house experience required
Base salary range: $60-70K CAD, plus bonus potential if applicable for role.
Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role.
