Job Overview
The Installation Supervisor (Wayfinding) is responsible for supervising and delivering all wayfinding signage installations across assigned venues. This includes directional signage, informational signs, temporary wayfinding systems, and associated mounting structures.
The role focuses solely on the installation phase and reports to the Wayfinding Manager and Installation Manager. Maintenance and de-rig activities will be managed by the Installation Manager following formal handover.

What You'll Do:
Planning & Coordination
- Review wayfinding drawings, signage schedules, placement plans, and installation manuals
- Understand installation timelines and align with overall project schedules
- Coordinate with logistics teams regarding delivery sequencing and material flow for signage
- Assist in confirming crew requirements (skilled and general labor) for wayfinding works
- Conduct pre-installation site walks where required
On-Site Management
- Supervise wayfinding installation crews on-site
- Manage daily installation activities for all directional and informational signage
- Ensure signage is installed according to approved drawings, placement plans, and brand guidelines
- Verify correct fixing methods (floor mounted, wall mounted, suspended, freestanding, etc.)
- Conduct daily briefings and assign tasks to crew members
- Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times
Quality Control & Compliance
- Perform quality inspections to ensure signage is level, aligned, secure, and clean
- Verify visibility, legibility, and correct positioning per approved plans
- Identify discrepancies, access challenges, or clashes and escalate to the Installation Manager
- Maintain installation progress tracking and report daily status updates
- Ensure compliance with venue regulations and H&S standards
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Liaise with venue representatives when required for sequencing & access to signage areas
- Support walk-throughs and inspections related to wayfinding installations
Handover & Information Transfer
- Provide a detailed handover report to the Wayfinding Manager & Installation Manager upon completion of installation
- Clearly communicate any outstanding snags, access restrictions, or signage adjustments required
- Transfer all relevant documentation and site information to enable the Installation Manager to oversee maintenance and de-rig phases
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in signage, wayfinding, venue dressing, exhibition build, or large-scale event installation environments
- Proven experience supervising installation crews in stadiums, arenas, or complex public venues
- Ability to interpret wayfinding drawings, placement plans, installation manuals, and signage schedules
- Strong understanding of signage fixing methods (floor-mounted, wall-mounted, suspended, freestanding systems)
- Experience delivering projects within compressed timelines and high-pressure event environments
- Solid knowledge of health & safety standards and safe working practices on active sites
- Ability to coordinate with logistics teams on delivery sequencing and material flow
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on alignment, visual quality, and brand compliance
- Strong documentation and reporting capability, including the ability to provide structured handover reports detailing snags, access limitations, and outstanding works.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and travel between venues as required; fluency in English required (additional languages a plus)
