Role Purpose

In recognition of the significant scaling of Flutter over the last two years, and the criticality of our people in helping Flutter achieve its ambitious growth targets, we are recruiting a new People Manager Development Lead. This role reports directly to the Director of Learning and Inclusion for both Flutter Functions (Group) and the UKI division.  

The People Manager Development Lead will be a key member of the Learning, Inclusion and People Experience leadership team within the People Function. This role leads a team to design and deliver a best-in-class people management learning offering, enabling business transformation and fostering high performance.
 

This role spans across both Flutter Functions and the UKI division, requiring close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders including business leaders, the wider people team, and the global Talent and Leadership COE.

Developing people managers who deliver the right results in the right way is critical to achieving our strategic goals. This role translates leadership development strategy into effective programmes and initiatives that increase the quality and quantity of people managers within the organisation.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Use data and diagnostics to identify current and future leadership capability needs

  • Scope, design, and deliver development programmes that build management capability

  • Drive engagement in people development initiatives that support leader retention

  • Report regularly on development initiative progress and effectiveness

  • Collaborate with hub leads to align people development strategies

  • Partner with Talent COE and People Partnering teams to ensure alignment

  • Manage external vendors in programme design and delivery

  • Establish evaluation frameworks to measure initiative impact

  • Lead budget planning and management for related programmes

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to individuals and teams

Qualifications & Experience

  • Recognised leader with vision in leadership and high-performance culture

  • Experience designing and delivering leadership development strategy

  • Proven ability to operate in a senior leadership role in a global organisation

  • Strong project and budget management experience

  • Deep knowledge of leadership development practices and innovations

  • Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams

  • Strong external network and insight into industry trends

Measure of Success

  • Increased leadership capability across Flutter Functions and UKI

  • Positive participant feedback and programme engagement metrics

  • Alignment of development initiatives with business strategy

  • Measurable improvements in manager effectiveness and retention

  • Budget efficiency and value creation from development programmes
