Client group of around 120 based in the UK. The client group consists of our Sales and Hospitality Teams, Major Events, Mass Participation, Legal, IT, Impact and our Marketing Communications team.
This role is part of the Global People Partner team so a global mindset is essential.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Stakeholder Management & Coaching
- Create relationships at all levels in the client group, through regular catch ups and keeping an ear to the ground for day to day issues, so you can offer proactive, pragmatic and commercial solutions.
- Support managers on performance issues identified through the review process, advising on extension and capability processes.
- Working with key stakeholders to ensure an equitable pay and bonus review process.
- Encourage and coach people on setting goals and managing check-in’s with their teams
- Support managers with the effective onboarding of their team members;
- Coordinate the six month review process, conducting mid-review meetings and providing feedback to managers.
- Manage parental leave meetings be that maternity, paternity or shared parental leave. Offer advice and support, whilst ensuring the process is documented and completed in a timely manner.
Employee Relations
- Responsibility for coaching line managers on all people related issues - restructures, redundancy, disciplinaries, grievances, flexible working, sickness, conduct and capability issues. Escalating issues as and when required.
- Keep up to date with employment law and regulation changes, and updating the team.
People Ops
- Using Workday to the best advantage – whether it’s the analytics it provides or the ability to automate core processes.
- Partnering with the People Operations team to ensure a seamless employee experience.
- Coordinate offboarding processes, including completing exit interviews and provide feedback to manager and SVP People Partnering.
- Work with the People Team on delivering the annual pay and bonus review.
Team
- This role predominantly supports the client groups shown above, there will be a need to get involved with supporting other client groups, as and when required.
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
- You must have some good working knowledge of employee relations including but not limited to – Handling disciplinaries & grievances, redundancy process, performance issues, long term sickness.
- Ideally an understanding of sales or agency life – it is a special kind of world, where you have to demonstrate your commercial ability to operate effectively.
- Keen ability to help prioritise and with a deep understanding of the business priorities, you know how to maximise resource and operational efficiencies
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Resilient with a strong sense of team.
- Ability to flex style and approach depending on the stakeholder and client group.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements and a thirst for improvement;
- An ability to ask for help, advice and support is encouraged.
