Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.

Position

The Observers Programme Specialist will support the smooth planning, delivery and operations of all the activities that are included in the “Observer Programme Milano Cortina 2026” (thereafter OBP) for the Olympic Winter Games and the “Future OCOGs Activities for Learning” (thereafter FOAL) Programmefor the Paralympic Winter Games, as part of the IKL delivery team while working in close collaboration with the IOC, the IPC and most among MICO 2026 FAs.


In particular, the Observers Programme Specialist:

In the Pre-Games period will:

  • Participate in planning meetings and processes, and undertake the development or updating of related digital tools;
  • Coordinate and assist with the design of a number of OBP and FOAL activities, in cooperation with the appointed representatives of relevant functional areas;
  • Support IKL manager’s daily activities, such as producing informational assets, managing communications, organizing meetings and producing different types of documents that are needed.

At Games-time, will be acting as an Activity Coordinator for both the OBP and FOAL, to:

  • Support the smooth delivery of various activities from a logistical point of view, ensuring that all tasks are carried out in compliance with the Observers Programme policies and procedures;
  • Assist the IKL delivery team with managing schedule modifications;
  • Liaise with MICO26 FAs for learning content collection and sharing;
  • Facilitate as necessary the management of Self-Observation and Shadowing requests and actions;
  • Lead IKL volunteers and act as a point of contact for future OCOG coordinators;
  • Be the focal point for tech matters, including troubleshooting, ensuring connectivity, and managing devices, as well as editing and updating content on the Observers Programme SharePoint site.

Requirements

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as Information Technology, Sport Management, Project Management, Communication, or another related area;
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in working on projects with internal and external stakeholders, ideally acquired in positions relevant to the job description;
  • Passion in the field of sport management, project management and events and strong affiliation with the Olympic and Paralympic values;
  • Very good command of English and Italian languages, both spoken and written.
