THE POSITION

These are your key tasks:

  • Promote the medical strategy 2025-2029 globally.
  • Coordinate medical and health initiatives across all FIFA functional areas.
  • Liaise with stakeholders (member associations, confederations and others) coordinating medical projects and campaigns.
  • Manage FIFA Medical‘s social media account by promoting health content.
  • Act as lead contact on health related projects with external stakeholders.
  • Monitor the day-to-day management and timely response of the medical mailbox.
  • Act as a point of contact for medical-related administrative queries. 
  • Facilitate communication between the medical team and other departments. 
  • Assist in budget tracking for medical resources and services.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field (e.g., Sports Science, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Sports Medicine, or related discipline).
  • Experience in medical administration, preferably within an elite sports environment.
  • Strong understanding of sports injuries, medical terminology, and rehabilitation processes.
  • Knowledge of national and international football governing body regulations (e.g., FIFA, UEFA) is an advantage.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in planning, organizing, managing, and supervising medical services associated with tournaments, events, or comparable sectors 
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proficiency in any other FIFA language (F / ES / GER) is an asset.
  • Proficient in Word / PowerPoint / Excel.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems (EMR) is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Readiness for stand-by duties.
