THE POSITION

These are your key tasks:

  • Overall responsibility for the assigned FIFA properties in Zurich in terms of functionality, value preservation, cost efficiency, and timely maintenance. 
  • Development and implementation of sustainable strategies to optimize operations and resource management. 
  • Monitoring of external service providers to ensure quality, contract compliance, and timely service delivery. 
  • Comprehensive management of contract and procurement processes across multiple properties.
  • Space management with a focus on efficient use and optimization of spatial resources.
  • Preparation of tenders, evaluation, and execution of procurement procedures. 
  • Management and implementation of various facility management projects, including renovations, refurbishments, and optimization measures. 
  • Introduction, application and continuous maintenance of CAFM tools.
  • Creation, analysis and continuous optimization of budget and cost structures to ensure cost-effective operations. 
  • Professional management of building services and gardening staff, as well as apprentices training to Fachmann Betriebsunterhalt EFZ. 
  • On-call duty for all emergencies at FIFA sites in Zurich, including technical failures, infrastructural incidents, and security-related events. 
  • Leadership of cleaning, maintenance, and gardening staff as well as apprentices in Fachmann Betriebsunterhalt EFZ.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:

  • 8 years of experience in a similar role with at least 3 years in leading a team.
  • Completed basic technical or craft training with several years of professional experience.
  • Ability to define strategic goals, give clear directions and to lead and empower team members.
  • Economical, process-oriented and quality-conscious way of working. 
  • Clean and structured working style even under heavy workloads. 
  • Strategic, conceptual and networked thinking as well as flexibility and communication skills.
  • Service oriented.
  • Technical leadership of employees as well as trainees. 
  • Driving license required.
