The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the team as our CRM Specialist, working at the heart of a global event that will captivate audiences across the Commonwealth and beyond.
As CRM Specialist, you’ll lead the end-to-end CRM marketing strategy for Glasgow 2026 — from pre-event planning to real-time campaign delivery. This role is pivotal in creating a seamless digital supporter experience that drives ticket sales, volunteer applications and merchandise engagement. You will work with our appointed CRM agency and a range of Games and external partners to build brilliant, personalised customer journeys and grow an engaged, passionate and representative global database.
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a strategic and data-driven CRM Specialist to lead the development and delivery of personalised, insight-led campaigns that drive ticket sales, volunteer sign-ups and fan engagement for Glasgow 2026.
Working within the Marketing and Communications team, and alongside a CRM agency, you’ll grow and manage a diverse global database, shape tailored customer journeys and help bring the Games to life for audiences across the world. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in one of the most inclusive and exciting sporting events ever staged.
Key Skills and Experience:
Reporting to the Marketing Campaigns Manager, you will work as part of an integrated Marketing and Communications team, developing innovative CRM strategies and campaigns that contribute to business-critical objectives. This is a unique opportunity to shape the digital narrative of one of the most inclusive, immersive and talked-about Games ever staged.
As CRM Specialist, you will support the Marketing Campaigns Manager in all aspects of customer relationship management, data management, and email communications. You’ll be the internal and external champion for CRM, data collection, analysis, protection, and overall management, maintaining a strong awareness of GDPR and data permissions best practices. Your expertise will support and influence the wider digital strategy, particularly around customer lifecycle marketing, funnel marketing, and customer journey mapping.
You will be responsible for developing and executing CRM activity that supports marketing campaigns, including growing and enriching the database as both campaign-specific and business-as-usual activity. You'll attract a relevant, engaged, and diverse audience to sign up to the database, while using digital dashboards and analytics to provide insights into audience composition, campaign performance, and engagement levels. Your work will support benchmarking against previous Games and help track success through defined KPIs.
You’ll manage relationships with key CRM agency contacts, from briefing through to campaign delivery, and play an active role in editing or creating campaign copy, briefing creative elements, and defining success metrics. You will contribute to digital integration and user experience projects, ensuring a personalised, seamless journey for Games audiences.
Staying informed on developments in CRM and email marketing, you will maximise data usage to deliver relevant, timely campaigns, using test-and-learn strategies to optimise content, subject lines, design, and timing. Working across the wider Communications, Marketing & Media team, you’ll encourage the effective use of segmentation and targeting, ensuring consistency and cohesion in tone and presentation across all CRM activity.
Additionally, you will support social media and website management as needed and collaborate with Commonwealth Sport and Commonwealth Games Associations to help shape a legacy strategy for Glasgow 2026 data. You will also be expected to follow all organisational health and safety policies and procedures, with responsibilities evolving over the lifespan of the Organising Committee.
