We’re looking for a detail-driven and passionate Anti-Doping Manager to lead the planning and delivery of a comprehensive, intelligence-led anti-doping programme for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. This role is central to maintaining the fairness and credibility of the Games and ensuring full compliance with the regulations of the Commonwealth Sport (CS), the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), and International Federations (IFs).
You’ll work in close partnership with external agencies, including government bodies and national anti-doping organisations, and manage the appointed doping control service provider to ensure smooth delivery across all competition, training, and athlete accommodation venues. You will manage key relationships with WADA, IFs, the CS Anti-Doping & Medical Commission, and other stakeholders to ensure that all programme elements meet the highest international standards.
You will lead the development of the Anti-Doping Standard, manage the appointed contractor, monitor deliverables and financials, and ensure the timely provision of services. In addition, you will contribute to venue planning, workforce training, risk mitigation, and contingency planning for Games-time operations. As the organisation’s subject matter expert, you will ensure a robust, transparent, and well-communicated programme is in place across all relevant Games functions.
Key Skills and Experience:
The successful candidate will bring experience working within an anti-doping environment at either a domestic or international level, with a solid understanding of the requirements and frameworks involved in delivering anti-doping programmes at major multi-sport events.
You will have demonstrable experience working with National Anti-Doping Organisations (NADOs), the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), or other relevant sporting bodies, and will be familiar with the regulations, policies, and intelligence-led testing methodologies required for compliance with international standards.
A background in the sport or events industry is essential, along with contract management experience and a proven track record of delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Candidates should also have strong relationship management skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively across diverse internal and external partners.
The role requires experience in project management, including milestone planning, reporting and integration with overarching organisational strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience in the recruitment, training, and management of a volunteer workforce and a deep passion for the integrity of sport and the successful delivery of an effective anti-doping programme for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
