Full Description
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: Support the team with Global Wholesale (WHS) sell-out data collation, reporting and analyzing with key markets and top Key Accounts (KAs).
Manage the setting of standards for relevant KPIs and key insight-driven activities across the Business Analyst community with a focus towards the achievement of strategic and financial goals.
Support with key planning activities through data modeling for business case scoping, budget management, and resource planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for Sales Management, Finance and Marketing to provide detailed overview of business performance
- Responsible for supporting key annual priority and project planning activities for Wholesale organization, including business case scoping, budget management, and general resource analysis.
- Manage the collation of best in class analytical and reporting tools and processes from multiple (Sales, Brand) perspectives.
- Manage the onboarding and data validation of sell-out data from different sources across markets, ultimately for cross-channel analysis purposes
- Actively participate in the community of business analysts with best practice sharing and gathering business needs
- Support the WHS Planning & Projects team with franchise reporting analysis and insights
- Develop new WHS reporting solutions and insights to further support the overall WHS business.
- Manage the community with meeting organization, feedback collation, regular and proactive information.
- Manage the relationship with the Global sell-out data vendor, SPS, organize and participate at regular business updates
- Regular progress tracking with SPS and market counterparts
- Support the management of technical project pipeline of implementation with SPS and different stakeholders (weekly review)
- SPS Budget planning and tracking with Global Finance and Markets
- Ownership of the invoicing process
- Support Franchise management initiatives with relevant Wholesale insights
- Regular exchange with Global Finance / X-channel team
Key Relationships:
Global: Sales Finance, Global IT, Data & Analytics, Digital Products Team
Market: Finance & Account teams, Data & Analytics teams, relevant KA teams, KA business analysts
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding and interpreting sell-through data to recommend changes that positively impact the business
- Experience understanding and developing consumer, customer, Wholesale, Retail, and competitor trends
- Ability to build reporting solutions (e.g. reports and dashboards)
- Good understanding of data system architecture and processes, both transactional- and primary data related
- Ability to think strategically
- Demonstrated analytical and financial skills, comfortable with Finance and Accounting principles and strong financial statement analysis ability
- Ability to effectively prepare information for senior executives and other relevant stakeholders
- High degree of commercial understanding, customer orientation and proactive demand management
- High level of inquisitiveness; thinks beyond the obvious and does not stop at the first answer
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in either Wholesale, Retail, or Digital analytics/planning/buying or related field
- Proven experience in financial and/or operational reporting and analysis with progressive responsibility
- Very good Excel and PowerPoint skills required
- Solid understanding of WHS & Retail business models, processes, & math, key business drivers
- Familiarity with PowerBI, BI (Hana) and other relevant adidas and industry analytical software a major plus
