Marketing Operations, is a part of the Brand Planning and Operations function at Nike. Marketing Operations is the team that drives, shapes and forms processes influenced by strategy. Ensuring the delivery of marketing in alignment to business priorities and the integrity of alignments as the strategy begins to land with all function teams.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Marketing Operations is looking for a Manager of Production Operations.

This role, will lead a team of creative operations to overlook the operations across creatives – partnering with the VP of Brand Creative in Greater China to ensuring excellence in tracking delivery, driving resourcing solutions, ensuring alignment in cross functions to maintain brand integrity. This role, will lead 2 teams with specific focus on:

1)Seasonal Creative Operations – Ensuring the process and integrity of creative output and resource allocations across the season.

2)Concept Retail Design Operations – Working on retail expansion, partnering with Retail Design Creatives and Marketplace teams

The successful candidate will embody skillsets including strong communication skills, solutions oriented mindset and leadership qualities to drive projects forward and manage tough conversations. Idealy this candidate will have experience or knowledge of retail expansions and technicalities.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Your day to day will entail working closely with creative teams, producers and the operations community, and driving clarity for your teams and partners to ensure timely delivery and tracking of the season’s projects. As well as that, you will be a crucial partner to the VP of Brand Creatives to ensure the integrity of the creative strategy and managing creative teams in terms of resourcing and capacity. 

On the Retail Expansion front – you will be expected to drive ynergy and communications between Marketplace partners, Retail Marketing ensuring aligned strategic priorities are delivered on the Retail Executions. A big part of the retail expansions day to day tasks is to bridge the communication gaps between technical challenges with stakeholders not learned in the field – as well as balancing brand and market reality needs to drive projects forward seamlessly.

1) Seasonal Creative Operations

  • Managing, assigning creative workload as well as solving resource concerns.
  • Leading teams to ensure timely, precise deliveries of campaign and retail assets and collaborate with upstream Marketing Operations to mitigate delays
  • Working with the leadership team, to shape and drive efficiency in processes
  • Ensuring precision of brief and partner with working creative team on driving top standard creative work.

2) Retail Design Operation

  • Manage team in tracking milestones of development from creative design, and aligning progress with marketplace teams on the overall project milestone.
  • Ensuring workload distribution amongst creatives
  • Escalating to leaders and managing marketplace expectations during conflicts of interest with brand design team – bridging communications and driving solutions for both teams.
  • Partnering with Creative leaders to ensure streamline of processes and drive clarity from churns
  • Ensuring Brand Standards are met in each project, whislt balancing needs of marketplace realities.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Being an great communicator and experienced in Stakeholder management, you will be familiar with working across matrix org structures, where there will be multiple stakeholders and functions you will working closely with, in and out of Marketing.

You will be working closely as the strategic partner to the VP of Brand Creatives – meanwhile together with your team, engaging with:

1/ Seasonal

  • Creatives (Brand, Cities, Retail, 365)
  • Producers
  • Marketing Operations Community

2/ Retail Expansion

  • Retail Design Creatives
  • Marketplace
  • Retail Marketing & operations

2/ Stakeholders & Expectations

  • Seasonal
    • Brand Management team: Managing the quality of briefs going into creatives as well as assigning the right creatives to the ask of the brief as well as collaborating with producers to ensure the landing of the work.
  • Retail Expansion
    • Marketplace teams – working with marketplace partners to ensure visibility on expansion plans, and the workload taking place for the upcoming months to the design team. And also managing expectations of design development in alignment with concept vision v.s realities of marketplace needs.

You will be Reporting to:

  • Director of Project Management Operations

WHAT YOU BRING

On top of a love for detail and driving processes, you will also be expected to have:

  • Over 7 years of marketing or agency related experience.
  • Exposed to matrix communications with multiple stakeholders
  • Managing expectations and driving tough conversations with effectiveness and resolution.
  • Prefered with experience in retail store design and development including processes of contract negotiation, space planning and protocol.
  • Proven track record of driving processes with rigor.
  • Creative production experience in seeing through delivery of go to market plans from brief to finalization.
