Role Overview 

The Maintenance Technician will utilize and grow their maintenance knowledge and skills as they support the operation of our Fulfillment Centers, Distribution Centers and Manufacturing Sites. They will be required to perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance of our Facility assets, Manufacturing Equipment, Automation Equipment, and Material Handling Systems. This role will be responsible for the safety, quality, and timely execution of these support services which include: conveyors, material handling equipment, robotics, forklifts, manufacturing systems, electrical, plumbing, and other general maintenance activities.

How you will make an impact:

  • Be the expert on the Fan Vertical – Maintain a deep understanding of collegiate marketplace and school rights, products, initiatives, policies, and compliance requirements
  • Define and evolve the Fan Vertical’s vision – Use consumer insights, performance data, internal research, and market intelligence to drive growth
  • Collaboratively set financial and performance objectives – Align goals with Fanatics Commerce’s four pillars: (1) Delightful Experience Every Day; (2) Great Products, Storytelling, & Availability; (3) New Rights & New Markets; and (4) One Commerce Wins.
  • Own the Fan Vertical’s P&L – Oversee financial planning, minimum guarantees, and contributions to company goals
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations – Manage rights related to e-commerce, wholesale, and in-venue merchandising

What you bring to the team:

  • Safety is at the center of all that we do! Following our Safety Procedures, Guidelines and Job Requirements is one of the key responsibilities for this role.
  • Adheres to all Department and Company Standards and Operating Procedures.
  • Completes work orders, preventive maintenance, corrective repairs and other written or computer-based documents.
  • Ability to learn and utilize software to include CMMS Systems, graphical interfaces, and other applicable programs.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, Electrical/Mechanical Schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meter, laptop)
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and motor control problems on equipment with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), soft starts, servo drives, and external input / output (I/O) devices.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on conveyor equipment, material handling equipment, manufacturing equipment, facility assets, and PIT (Powered Industrial Truck).
  • Ability to work at heights from ladders and aerial lifts.
  • Ability to work on the exterior of the site and within a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Ability to complete additional tasks and requests as needed from the site’s Leadership Team.

This position does require standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods of time, continuous use of hands, twisting, bending, and stooping to perform tasks. Duties also include being able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Able to effectively communicate issues to not only other team members but as well as to the operational team.

Where You’ll Work and What’s required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience and/or education in the industrial maintenance field.
  • Preferred experience in a Fulfillment, Distribution or Manufacturing facility supporting maintenance activities on conveyor systems, manufacturing systems and other material handling equipment.
  • Maintenance Experience
    • Equipment Maintenance and Repairs
    • Mechanical Troubleshooting
    • Electrical Troubleshooting
  • Experienced with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Experienced in interpreting both mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
