WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll be part of the South East Asia & India (SEA&I) Merchandising team, working in close partnership with the Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) Merchandising team to deliver the right assortment to the marketplace. Collaboration is key—you’ll engage with cross-functional partners across sales, business leadership, planning, and marketing to ensure seamless seasonal execution.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike is looking for a Sports Category Merchandiser to join the SEA&I Merchandising team, based in Singapore. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep merchandising expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and a collaborative mindset. They bring a sharp consumer focus, a passion for sport, and the ability to turn insights into impactful actions. This individual thrives in dynamic environments, embraces change, and leads with confidence and clarity. Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—are essential, along with the ability to build trust, foster teamwork, and influence outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to shape the sports category vision and drive revenue through compelling assortment strategies that connect with consumers.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in merchandising and category management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

  • Demonstrated strength in product merchandising and commercial strategy.

  • Expertise in marketplace dynamics, consumer behavior, and assortment planning.

  • Strong grasp of retail math and pricing strategy.

  • Proven ability to negotiate, present, and influence across diverse teams.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You’ll lead the development of sport category assortments that integrate APLA strategic direction with localized market insights. Your work will be rooted in understanding consumer needs and identifying channel opportunities. You’ll serve as the voice of the athlete, crafting seasonal strategies and product assortments that deliver impact and distinction across all consumer touchpoints.

  • Build sport category assortments that reflect APLA priorities and local market dynamics.

  • Leverage consumer insights to shape seasonal strategies and ensure product relevance.

  • Partner with the APLA Merchandising Team to share market feedback, insights, and product requirements.

  • Analyze silhouette and franchise mix, pricing structures, and competitive landscape to optimize offerings.

  • Present go-to-market assortment plans and localized strategies to cross-functional teams for alignment and execution.

  • Translate product performance data into actionable insights to guide future decisions.
