Job title: IT Project Manager
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week with additional matchday cover as needed

Role Summary
This role will be part of the Club’s Facilities & IT Department, reporting directly into our IT Manager. You will work closely with the IT Service Desk Manager, and key business stakeholders with the implementation resource.
The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing IT related projects across the business to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and meet business objectives. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing risks, and ensuring effective communication between stakeholders.
This role also involves offering advice and guidance to key stakeholders and liaising with third parties on support issues where appropriate.
Role Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution - Define project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules and budgets with the support of various department leads
- Identify and allocate necessary resource to project groups, utilising people, tools and vendors, contractors or consultants
- Track project progress against key milestones and expenditure, to minimise project disruption and to manage stakeholder expectations
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact and lead for project group members and
key stakeholders
- Serve as the main escalation point for any technical queries to mitigate any potential risk and disruption.
Facilitate and lead project checkpoints, assessing progress, status updates and defining key accountabilities within the project group
- Ensure clear communication and alignment between technical and non- technical stakeholders
- Appropriately escalate major issues to the IT Manager
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify potential risks and roadblocks to project success and create pragmatic mitigation strategies to resolve conflicts
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory and organisational hazards
Budget & Resource Management
- Track project expenditure alongside progress to ensure adherence to budget parameters, working in collaboration with our accounts team.
- Identify and procure product requirements for the fulfilment of the project
- Report financial statues to the IT Manager and other relevant members of
leadership and adjust forecasting as needed
Quality Assurance & Delivery
- Ensure deliverables meet technical and business requirements
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and retrospective feedback sessions
- Implement and maintain continuous development strategies to future proof the success of project management within the Club
Professional Attributes and Competencies
IT Technical knowledge preferrable.
Proficiency with Project Management processes and practices
Excellent organisation skills, to plan the best use of people and resources to meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills, to motivate and lead your project team and collaborate with key stakeholders
The ability to monitor and control budgets with Departments
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, to manage expectations
The ability to use your initiative and make decisions under pressure
The capacity to use project management software, spreadsheets and databases
